Ta' Ġurdan Lighthouse — Attraction in Għasri

Currently (28th of April 20019) the lighthouse is closed (as you may see on attached photos). Haven’t seen any information when it supposed to be finished :( so if you plan to visit it - it’s better to check with local people if it’s still under construction. Also - it’s easy to get there take 308 bus from Victoria and go to “Fanal” bus stop. From there you’ll need to go around 15 min to be near the lighthouse. This is one of the attractions at Ghasri. It is a steep uphill but several people still manage to do it by bicycle. The location is not accessible by car. This lighthouse is still in use up to this day. There is also an air monitoring station where University of Malta monitors the quality of air in the maltese Islands.

Fantastic view. Although there is road works, we were lucky to meet local guy who advised us not to be afraid of the fence. And just go around it. See the photos. I would be afraid to do so at working day, as the workers would not probably allow us to pas the fence and the dozer, also see photos. This paid off a lot! Very nice view from the top.
