The Giordan, Ġordan is an active lighthouse on the Maltese island of Gozo. It is located on a hill above the village of Għasri on the northern coast of the island.

Currently (28th of April 20019) the lighthouse is closed (as you may see on attached photos). Haven’t seen any information when it supposed to be finished :( so if you plan to visit it - it’s better to check with local people if it’s still under construction. Also - it’s easy to get there take 308 bus from Victoria and go to “Fanal” bus stop. From there you’ll need to go around 15 min to be near the lighthouse. Use the same bus stop and the same bus to go back to Victoria. Bus goes once per hour.

Fantastic view. Although there is road works, we were lucky to meet local guy who advised us not to be afraid of the fence. And just go around it. See the photos. I would be afraid to do so at working day, as the workers would not probably allow us to pas the fence and the dozer, also see photos. This paid off a lot! Very nice view from the top. And in February when all the flowers smell so nice , it was fantastic visit. Lighthouse is not accessible, btw.

Giordan Light house, this place is a must while you're in gozo, from up here you will have some epic views of Gozo. Apart from the light house there are also some British era structures. Can be a nice trail visiting ta Pinu, San Dimitri Chapel, wied il mielaħ and giordan lighthouse. If tracking I don't suggest to be done in summer time. This place is partly accessible also by car. But its a nice e bike ride cause the Elevation is challenging.

This place deserves more care from the Gozo officials. The path up there is in horrible state (it looked like they might be building wider and tarmac road?) Place itself is full of rubbish (as many other places all over Malta). I would recommend building better road/path up there and keep the area cleaner. I was the onl visitor. Stunning views from up there are improving my rating - 4 stars overall.

This is an enchanted place far off the very touristic zones of Gozo. The lighttower is not mentioned in any of the three travel guides we had, so this might be the reason. We came here for sunset (you can drive quite near - or better you walk), and this was fantastic because you have a magnificent view from here.

Been there in work. The access is impossible right now. Road up to the lighthouse is a mess. You can walk it, but it’s not for those with a lack of mobility. The lighthouse is a nice sight. Recently restored… but it’s surrounding a full of construction material. Pity
