Nice bay in a clear blue sea, unless sea swell is coming from south that sometimes cause to push to shore the fish farming slime. But there are some other problems with this bay. Very often driving the road to this bay, one has to wait minutes stranded in traffic que in the limits of St. Peters Pool, taxi's stop for pickups and block the road and cause a big congestion. The stairs from the parking area leading to the bay are in a disaster state and need immediate repairs. One can't compare these stairs with those of Riviera Bay, and very often, the hedge grass block access for the stairs makes it more difficult to use. The parking area has improved a little since it was flattend rolled with rubble that eliminated the enormous pot holes. But the problem, now is that this area has become very dusty. Il-Kalanka is a beautiful and spacious beach located in Malta. It is often compared to St. Peter’s Pool but is known for having fewer tourists and more shade options along the rocky edge. The beach is surrounded by cliffs on both sides, providing reasonable shade for visitors.

This place is very special. It's astonishingly beautiful, but it's not for everyone. I would say it's for good swimmers only. To get in the water, you can jump or use a ladder, and it's deep. It can be dangerous to swim when the wind is blowing from the South. There are no bars or shops, so you should bring your own food if you plan to stay here all day. Please, don't litter.
