⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Time travel without the DeLorean! 🏛️
Blimey, standing amongst these 5,500-year-old temples makes you feel like you've gate-crashed history's most exclusive party! Mnajdra doesn't just casually flex with being older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids - it absolutely shows off about it, and rightfully so. These megalithic masterpieces were already ancient when the Romans were still figuring out how to build proper roads! 🗿
The sheer scale and precision of these limestone giants is mind-boggling. How on earth did our ancestors move these massive stones with such mathematical accuracy? The temple alignments with solstices and equinoxes prove these weren't just random rock arrangements - this was serious astronomical engineering when most of Europe was still working out basic agriculture! 🌅
The setting is absolutely magical too, perched dramatically on Malta's rugged coastline with the Mediterranean stretching endlessly beyond. The information boards are brilliant for putting everything into perspective, and the protective shelters mean you can properly appreciate the intricate carvings and doorways without squinting through weathering damage.
Pro tip: Visit early morning or late afternoon for the best lighting and fewer crowds. Wear comfortable shoes - the site involves quite a bit of walking on uneven ancient pathways! Utterly inspiring stuff that puts our daily problems into delightful...

Overlooking the beautiful and mystical island of Filfla son 5 kilometres away. A place that takes you back to prehistoric times when man was already very advanced in his evolutionary process yet still primitive.
This site is very mesmerizing to all those who choose to drift into their imagination of how this colossal temple was built; how it's architects excavated, carried, sculpted and erected the magnificent megalicts.
And what about the sacrifices to the gods? Animals and possibly humans who knows!
People in those days were small, fragile and under nutritioned so how did they have the mental and physical ability to erect such places as Mnajdra and the neighbouring Hagar Qim? And how did they carve the earth at the Hofor just dome meters away where they stored water? - All remains a mystery that unfolded more than 5000 years ago. - And did you ever wonder how much more came after that and that was list or destroyed? But Mnajdra still stands majesticly and shameless as a living memory of the architects who dreamt about it, our ancestors who brought human evolution to a...
Read morePrehistoric splendor! Situated 500 meters from the temples of Ħaġar Qim and almost on the edge of the 80 meter high cliff coast are the magnificent megalithic temples of Mnajdra. The temple complex is grouped around an oval forecourt and consists of three temples. In terms of timeline, the construction history of the Mnajdra temples is similar to that of Ħaġar Qim. The Primitive Temple (the northernmost temple) dates from before 3600 BC, the Central Temple dates from the period 3600-3000 BC and the Lower Temple (closest to the coast) dates from 3000-2500 BC. As is typical of Maltese megalithic temples, the temples of Mnajdra also consist of oval rooms, the walls are made of enormous stones, and the entrances are built in the form of trilithons. As with Ħaġar Qim, the Mnajdra complex also includes an oracle chamber and a temple area aligned with the movements of the sun. The southernmost temple is probably a solar temple, as it has been determined that the entrance and temple area are aligned with the solstices and the equinox. All in all, the temples at Mnajdra are fascinating and the visitor is also treated to a wide view of the...
