Nature oasis in urban area. Very nice bird site with interesting interpretation. Entrance is free but you can support their work - buy some souvenir or donate. It is ok to have binocular to see all the birds in the reserve. They have nice birdwatching huts. You can just walk 30 minutes around or stay longer and explore wetland birds.

Really lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. The reserve isn't huge, but we had a nice time walking around the pathway. We were told to have a look in the trees to try and see a chameleon and we were so pleased when we spotted one 😊 this is a rare free experience, make the most of it.

Make sure you take walking shoes because the stones on the Roman Road might be slippery when it is raining. The constant rumble of thunder made the walk more interesting until the rain started pouring down. If you like off-road walking then this pelgrims tour is for you.

Fantastyczne miejsce w społeczności o specyficznych zwyczajach co do ptaków. Maluśki skrawek azylu na ziemi gdzie dla sportu i tradycji strzela się do migrujących ptaków. Fantastyczni ludzie-wolontariusze, którzy przez część swoich rodaków są uważani za odmieńców. Będąc na Malcie trzeba tam być i wesprzeć paroma € i dobrym słowem tych ludzi.

Description
Simar Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in Pwales Valley, in Xemxija, St Paul's Bay, Malta. An artificial wetland habitat was created in the 1990s by BirdLife Malta volunteers in an area of abandoned marshland.
