AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

We booked a night through MariDeal.

We arrived at around 4pm and were taken to our chalet which smelled humidity and molds, with no windows in the room which made it quite dark and hard to breath. Since this was not reflecting at all what was seen on the picture on MariDeal, we requested to have a chalet as seen on the pictures. The staff told us that this is not possible as the place is fully booked.

We therefore asked to speak to the owner, and he replied that there is no one around as the check-in was at 2pm, that the next person would be in at 7pm, and that he needs to leave as he was already meant to have finished his shift for the day. We tried to call the owner on the numbers displayed at reception, with no success. The staff then proposed to have our night reimbursed which we accepted.

In the meant time, the daughter of the owner suggested another room with better view, and that this one would need to be cleaned. We accepted and went for a walk in the meantime.

We arrived back at our room at 7pm to find it in a poor state: -No clean towels -Moldy sink and bathroom accessories -Moldy towel on the floor next to the toilets -Stained bed sheet

We went to the reception to request new towels and new sheet and told the owner that the room was disgusting. He was very arrogant, and rude and stated that if it is to say that the place is disgusting, then we should be leaving the place (which we would have happily done however we didn’t have anywhere else to go at such last minute on a high peak season).

Someone then brought us dinner in a basket, with molds inside! Dinner was below average, with no taste at all.

We realised when going to bed that one of the pillow was also covered in mould, super disgusting!!!!

We decided to leave as early as possible in the morning after an awful night.

As positive, the view was nice but I would never go back anyways!! There are so many other nice places around the Island, with some decent...

This is the perfect getaway to escape the noisy and crowded world

I loved how natural everything has been kept😌

Booked two nights, breakfast & Dinner was included!

Chalets are equipped with their own little kitchenette - we self-catered food items and drinks accordingly and made the most perfect breakfast and lunch - this even added to pass time and enjoy the freezing weather!

Food quantities are very generous and worth it You can save the leftovers for when you might be more hungry during the day

We did quite a bit of activities, tire-à-l'arc, trekking, parcours du combattant, kayak Was good but this is the only part where i might add that it was not really worth the price but was still very entertaining and made us enjoy our time there

The lady in charge was very inviting and cared for everything we might have needed during our stay Our dinner was dropped off by herself to our chalets - quantities again were very generous and tastes good even very good

This might not be one of the most luxurious stay or most accommodating but if you are well prepared then this stay is far than the best staycation you could give yourself - couple, family or friends

Things that we brought - portable stove and 1/2 basic kitchenware, extra quilt depends on how cold you can tolerate, drinks items - water, beer, soft drinks, basic food items

This helped us to enjoy and independent stay and considered very reasonable for the price each Chalet is

For us this is worth more than any hotel stay

Would recommend 100% but do accommodate a bunch of self catering stuffs to be able...

It's very sad to say so but unfortunately my experience was really bad.. Such a beautiful place(just the view) the chalet is really in a bad state Badly need a good renovation It looks dirty and old Zero maintenance for sure Just got an handwash ,2 toilet rolls and some tea bags.. That's it No shower gel nothing You can find plastic stuff everywhere as they don't clean up Food :- got the same thing as dinner and lunch on top of that it wasnt delicious at all For breakfast, just a slice of bread with some scramble egg (not even 1 egg) and two uncooked sausage with some ketchup on it Tea,coffee and milk was knda cold It's a place for nature lovers but not for animal lovers as we had the worst experience because they were doing deer hunt and we heard gun shots till we check out Couldn't go for a walk or to visit the beauty of that place Staff:- i don't know if they are lack of staff(not sure) but it's a mess They don't set up the table as it should be Specifically there's a girl who doesn't has manner how to talk with clients It's as if we are disturbing her Lack of communication between them I told them my sister and fiancee don't eat deer and they had only that as curry Fortunately they prepared something else

To be honest don't worth the price and that's really sad and frustrating It has an amazing views and fresh air Should definitely be a place to cut off but due to these stuff you...

We went to hike Mountain la Grave and paid Rs250 pax (with no receipt)on 17.12.23. However we got lost on our ascent and top parts due to absence of signages or sometimes poorly indicated marks. We tried to phone several times with no reply and after a long moment one person who took our call couldn't clarify appropriately the trailpath to us and and never called back. We were told by mr Romin at the start that there were ropes at technical areas but none was there. It was very dangerous and we couldnt complete the hike to the top and so we had to get to return back to the trailhead. We explained to the personel at the reception. Not recommended to hike and very irresponsible from the management. The trail must be closed and remedial works done urgently.
