Domaine De L'Etoile — Attraction in Isle Mauritius

Waste of money and time. Horrible experience with the quad bike activity. While the scenery or landscape was a sight to see, the ride itself was straight up awful. To begin, the quads used were old and not well maintained. The brakes were unusually hard to press, and the steering wheel was hard to maneuver. The ride was quite bland, slow and boring, with many interruptions by the guide who kept halting to open and close the gates. Speaking of which, the guide was very rude with no hospitality whatsoever; he had no manners and he belittled us a few times which is something my family and I wouldn't want to experience. Lastly, the pictures taken were way too expensive (Rs400 for 1 picture). The only positive was the scenery which I would rather hike next time, hence the 1 star. We were really disappointed by this place. I have asked about the zip line. The only option is to take all 7 zip lines which takes about 1.5 hour and costs 2000 rupees. So we wanted to just do some hike/walk with our baby in the stroller. But they told us all guided tours are not for stroller. So as we were there we wanted at least to have a short walk around the water. They have told us we can't go anywhere and we have to leave. So not a good place with small babies. And definitely no free hikes as they are promoting on website. Everything is paid and there are no information on website...

Gorgeous and well maintained big area ranging from low flats to higher hills. Recommended to go though with a guide on a quad which can be rented (with some luck you might be able to go without bigger group of people and therefore enjoy some adrenaline sped as well, the trip itself is for approx. 3-4 hours). You can see animals running through the forests and fields, there are also many vantage points with very nice scenery where you can just take a break and enjoy the sight. The guide we had was a very pleasant and kind young man who spoke English well. I assume the photos below say it all....
