Le Val St Hubert Nature Park is a serene escape nestled in the village of Cluny, in the southeast of Mauritius. Here’s a guide to help you make the most of your visit:

Atmosphere and Calmness The park offers a tranquil and picturesque environment, perfect for a peaceful day out. The lush greenery, watercress ponds, and various small lakes create a calming atmosphere. You’ll often hear the gentle sounds of birds and the rustling of leaves, adding to the park’s serene ambiance1.

Weather The weather in this region is generally warm and sunny, especially during the summer months. However, it can get quite hot, so it’s advisable to visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the peak heat1.

Parking Facilities There is a small parking area available at the entrance of the park. While it might not be very large, it usually suffices given the park’s relatively low visitor numbers1.

Recommendations to Bring Sun Protection: Wear sun cream and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. Mosquito Repellent: The park can have quite a few mosquitoes, so it’s wise to bring repellent. Comfortable Shoes: The terrain can be uneven with pebbles and rocks, so sturdy footwear is recommended. Water and Snacks: While there is a restaurant, it may not always be open, so bringing your own refreshments is a good idea1.

Additional Information Activities: You can enjoy pedal boating on the lake, though the water levels can sometimes be low. There’s also “fun fishing” available for a small fee1. Wildlife and Flora: The park is home to various animals, including goats, monkeys, and rabbits. You’ll also find greenhouses with anthurium flowers and herbs1.

Accessibility: The park is not very wheelchair or stroller-friendly due to its uneven paths1.

Overall, Le Val St Hubert Nature Park is a lovely spot for a relaxing day surrounded by nature. Just be sure to take the necessary precautions to ensure a comfortable visit. Enjoy your time exploring this beautiful part of...

We visited the park by coincidence today. The entrance ticket was 25rs per person. We took a nice stroll and saw some monkeys, birds, fish and diverse plants. Nice detour if you are in the area, probably not worth to go from the other side...

Le val is no longer what it used to be.

There is nothing to do there except fishing. And theyare rare and very small. Not worth the effort.

The good side is that is quiet and has a beautiful scenery.

Good place for families to...

The park needs a lot of updating and maintenance. Lots of good spots to have fun though. Used to be such a great park 15 years ago.
