DS Adventures — Attraction in Trois Boutiques (Union Vale)

Our recent experience with DS Adventures during their Sensational Quad Session was incredibly disappointing. Despite high expectations based on reviews, our experience left much to be desired.

We opted for the most expensive option, the Sensational Quad Session, at a whooping cost of Rs7000, hoping for an exciting and memorable adventure. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what was promised. Throughout the session, we felt hurried, unable to appreciate any sights or immerse ourselves in the experience.

The quad biking trails were largely disappointing, primarily rocky and winding through sugarcane fields. We had a prior quad biking experience in the south, where the ride involved muddy paths through sugarcane fields but without the discomfort of rocky terrain.

Furthermore, our dissatisfaction was compounded by the technical issue we faced during the session. The quad I initially received was faulty, not turning smoothly. To salvage the experience, we had to swap quads with my partner midway through the session.

Moreover, scenic sightseeing stops, including Le Bouchon and Bassin Camaron, was unfulfilled. Our stops at Pont Naturel and the final destination were rushed, offering minimal time for enjoyment or exploration. Despite being assured stops on the return journey, these DID NOT materialize, leaving us with no opportunity to appreciate the beautiful spots we anticipated.

The promotional photos and videos showcasing the adventure were misleading. We were unable to make stops at scenic locations. Additionally, while promotional materials depicted quad biking in front of La Cambuse Beach, we were informed it was a public beach and inaccessible during the tour, contrary to the marketing.

Overall, the experience fell short of expectations, and we regret spending our money on this disappointing experience. Our rating reflects our disappointment, though we must commend the team for their friendly demeanour.

We had a great experience doing the sensation package (longest one) with Pipo. He was so energetic and took many pictures of us throughout the experience. It was quite rocky at times but it was lots of fun and we got to see a different side of Mauritius. The main owner who did the introduction was also amazing, super kind and helpful. We had a great time! Also, in the end they organized for us to get taken back to our hotel at le Morne a long drive away so Pipo drove us back because the taxi driver we originally booked through some travel website, just left us hanging because we were three minutes late. We were super frustrated but the DS Adventures team saw how that driver just kicked us out of his car and drove off, so Pipo was amazing and offered to drive us home which was just so sweet! We would have been stuck there and would have had to call a super expensive taxi instead. Thanks to you guys for giving us such a great experience and showing true excellent customer service! 👍🏻...

I went on the 10th of November, it was easy to find via Google. The guys were welcoming and great. They spoke good English. It was myself and another guy, with the instructor. We left pretty quickly after the briefing. I had two rounds around the tree cuz i couldn't keep my finger still on the accelerator lol, the guy with me was good. I was a bit worried i would slow him down, but we went up to 60km/h in some places. It was amazing. The area was good, mostly spacious. Some water puddles here and there. They also reminded us to wear our glasses (tried in another place, and forgot my glasses, which wasn't great). I think it took 2:30hrs? We went for a 30min swim, the views were stunning. It felt like a minute. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Make sure to wear water shoes as the water puddles can cover your whole ankles.
