This was the highlight of our Cabo trip.

Getting there: It’s 44 K from SJDC, take the Santiago exit, after crossing the arroyo take an immediate right, the next interception at the signs take the middle dirt road, at the top of the climb go .2 miles and take another right at the next set of signs, follow the road past the second cattle-guard and take an immediate right, and follow it till you get to the parking area. It’s doable in a car with two hill’s that you will want a mild run on the way back.

The hike: after paying admission ($8 or $150 pesos) we then hiked to the lower pool at the falls then back to the upper pools to above the falls . All together it was 1.5 miles and 450 feet of climbing and descending each way.

The experience: The water was refreshing and the scenery...

We took a road trip from Cabo through Santiago and then onto the falls arriving 11 am. The water was crystal clear and refreshing, Hiked and swam many of the pools and had most of them to ourselves. No bugs as we had read about just a perfect day. started to get busy around after 1 but plenty of areas to have to yourself. And for the reviewers GRINGOS complaining about the price, get over it 150 peso and you have secure parking and they have a restaurant, washrooms, petting zoo for the kids and they maintain the trail and clean up after the irresponsible slobs. This was a bargain and a very enjoyable day and we will take our visiting friends to see and experience this gem. From one Gringo to the...

This is an absolute must!!!!! This was one of the coolest things I have ever done. The views are fantastic and the water is serene. I wouldn't recommend this to people who have a hard time hiking. The terrain is rough but we'll worth it for the views. And if you're adventurous like we were you can jump off the 35' waterfall!! Such an adrenaline rush!! I do recommend going with a guide if it's your first time. We went with High Tide and our guide was very helpful and informative. The canyon is over an hour away from Cabo but it's worth getting off the beaten path. You can do this at a slow pace and without the cliff jumping and still have an amazing time. This will now be a yearly...

Be sure to go to the very end, you think you have arrived but keep driving. The next door neighbor is trying to steal the business and has build a man made hot tub down stream . For the authentic natural experience , visit the one located at very end of the road . Cost is 160 pesos or if you have wristband from other visits like the waterfall , you get credit here. The short walk takes you thru picnic sites and over two wooden walkways to a super cool natural hot springs. Against the wall is the warmest spot There is also a large biddy of cold water w a sandy beach just upstream. Be sure to check that out too. This is worth the somewhat treacherous drive , even if you have a standard rental car.
