You can access this beach by hiking a short distance from a parking lot off the main road north of La Paz. The trail is rocky and about 1km. The beach is a little gem. Private, still full of mangroves and with shallow warm water. We went at low tide and you had to walk out a bit to reach the water, once in you can walk out for a long time without the water getting above your knees. Not sure how deep it gets at high tide.

If you get turned away at balandra (only 400 people admitted in morning and another 400 in afternoon, no one allowed to drive in after that- even if people leave early 😆, this is a great little beach, Rocky hike- takes about a half hour to get there, but then we had the little beach and bay almost to ourselves at sunset! Beautiful!!!!
