Rundown old fishing beach with glass and derelict fishing boats abound. We arrived after a group of Canadians. The Canadians told us they paid 400 pesos per night with no electricity or water, or they could have paid 600 pesos per night with water and electricity. We decided to stay for the night thinking we would be charged the same 400 pesos as the Canadians right next to us. The next morning we were charged 500 pesos. We told them we talked to the Canadians and they had only paid 400 pesos. They didn’t care, said it would be 500 pesos. I guess they don’t like Americans. So we went up the beach a mile in our Honda civic to where it was free. It didn’t make sense to pay $30/night for a place on the beach with rocks and loud noise from the road when we could be on a soft quiet sandy beach for free just 5 minutes away. Toilets semi dirty, showers disgusting, rocks all over under our tent. Very little shade. Roosters and dogs across the street woke us up at 6am. Too far from town to walk or ride our bikes so we had to drive into town for food anyways. Couldn’t let our dog out of the car because of all the glass on the ground. Restaurant is stupid expensive compared to many spots further south. People were rude. San Felipe has been ruined by the Baja races. Hopefully next year the race...

Friendly owner! On the 1st day, we had fish fillet lunch: it was delicious and reasonable price also.
Toilet, shower, running water [in indonesian, kran] near - under the palapas, set of wooden table including bench, WiFi [really good at night while weak at day], electricity, individual light plus parking are provided.
We were there in August & during our stay: the weather is super hot , reaching 42 degree celsius at day and we got hot [blowing] wind or NO wind at all [most of the time between 2pm - 5 pm and 11pm to 2am] make us difficult to sleep sometimes.
PS Thought it's located on a private property, while they closed their main gate at night, someone still can come through the beach!
On the 1st night: Explorian working late to support our team in Singapore, to our surprise total stranger suddenly come from the dark at 3am asked for lighter, then asked for cigarette.

A quaint little waterfront gem, you really can’t beat the view! We came here for a luncheon with a group of eight, and while the food and drinks took a bit of time to arrive, it was well worth the wait. The atmosphere was charming and relaxed, perfect for a leisurely afternoon.
Almost everyone at our table was very happy with their meal. The standout? The Oysters Gratin was absolutely delicious and the clear favorite of the day. The Coconut Shrimp also came highly recommended [word is, the lady chef makes it best, so go when she’s in the kitchen!], and the Breaded Oysters and Fish Tacos didn’t disappoint either. Almost forgot to mention, everything is fresh and it makes a real difference.
The staff were warm and welcoming, and though the service pace was a little slow, the overall experience more than made up for it. I’d definitely return, this place is a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy fresh seafood and bevvies...
