If you are going to ensenada. This is the only public beach with restrooms stop. Beach is clean and on weekends many families come to enjoy their time. Many fruit stands and vendors are very nice and friendly. Got showers and bathroom facilities. Cars, trucks and 18 wheelers taking their rest. Very quiet and nobody bothers you. I have not seen a begger their so far. Police regularly check the area. Then my favorite volunteer group in english we call them Green Angels. Wonderful team of people who help anyone stuck with a problem on route 1 paoid road. Its a free service. Their number is 079 or 074.(sorry). I would say the people offering horse rides need to keep the horse area clean. Dont leave horse poop on the beach at the end of the day. We got little ones who likes to get their hands dirty. Hate to see a little ones touching horse poop. Bbq area needs to be fix or taken out. Makes the beach look run dow. The bridge needs to be painted. I suggest putting colorful pain which represent mexico heritage. Visitors can ferl more welcome to stop and learn about the playa and La Mision community. La Mision is a very small community towards the mountain. Only problems is if you are at the beach. You have to drive like 5 to 7 miles for exit la mision. The local gov should make an exit near the beach area for locals to get to la mision. But at same time it may not be good idea too. Right now we got less traffic having exits far from town. If you find beach is crowed. I suggest going on the other side of the main highway. You will see plenty of parking and private area in the bay to enjoy the day. Dont worry local people of la mision are very nice people and helpful. U dont be riped off. But they can help you to stay out of trouble....

The water has been known to have some rips. Town (La Mission) is a hidden gem...close, very picturesque with green valleys, river, and tall bluffs...most ppl miss this side of the border and drive right on by. Too bad bc this is the Mexico they think of, authentic, real ppl, flea market and grocery stores...tavern, police station, the mission of course, interesting place often bypassed. On the valley they grow awesome crops, raise...

It is rarely on 🔥 but it does happen. Please pack out your garbage, the amount of waste left here after the weekend is staggering! The local community of La Mision raises funds to personally pay clean up crews to clean the beaches...
