JALTUN PARQUE ECOTURISTICO — Attraction in Celestún

If you’re looking for an incredible nature experience, Jaltún Parque Ecoturístico is an absolute must-visit! Our family had the pleasure of exploring this breathtaking eco-park with our guide, Alfredo (english/spanish speaking), and it was nothing short of amazing.

From the moment we started our walking tour, Alfredo’s passion for the local ecosystem was evident. His knowledge of the region’s plants, animals, and insects is astounding, and he explained everything in such a captivating way that made us appreciate nature even more. Whether it was spotting unique wildlife, learning about medicinal plants, or understanding the role of each species in the environment, Alfredo made every moment engaging.

A wonderful tour through the mangroves. Our tour guide Alfredo is extremely well informed about the ecosystem, the animals, the plants and everything in between. The entire tour was in English. This place is run by local families who are extremely passionate about what they do. Certainly would recommend passing if you get the chance.

This is a wonderful project set up by 6 families to promote environmental education and conservation. Our guide was very knowledgeable - he pointed out lots of interesting plants, birds, animals and insects. As others have said, mosquito repellant is important in the mangrove forest.
