This place is beautiful. Mountains covered in jungle. We went up to the Iglesia Vieja ruins, which exceeded our expectations. They were amazing and there were so many. The road up there is pretty rough but we made it in our minivan. Just take it slow. Driving up through the jungle was a treat, there were tropical butterflies everywhere and lizards. There is a well established station at the ruins, with a small informative center and bathrooms. There is a person there that will take you around the ruins. This place is definitely worth the drive.

Fabulous access to nature, lots of stuff to do and the weather is fantastic. This was part of our South America trip and the experience is unforgettable. Lots of parks in the area, and I highly recommend visiting all of them because each one has something great to offer.
