Its a beautiful island for which you need a short boat ride from guayabitos beach. Visit during weekdays so you will enjoy much more. Try to find a better deal from the boat operaters who offer boat rides to the island.
Island is maintained well and has a restaurant which serves food and drinks and has some tables in shade on the beach. Hotel has a washroom as well but it is not maintained at all.
Water is clear and it is a fun experience to snorkel. There is designated area to swim which has plenty of fishes and corals.
Try to take some snacks and umbrella for shade if you are not going to use the hotel facility.
You can also spot whales during Dec-Mar month so try to visit...
Read moreGreat partial day trip. Very short boat ride from rincon de guayabitos beach. Easy snorkeling from small beach on island. Water is calm and perfect for children's swimming. One small stand serves food and alcohol and sells a few floats. There are a few tables in shade. Generally, beach is positioned to receive full sun during daylight. No overnight accommodations. Mostly young mexican families. I think there were only 3 foreign tourists (including me) at beach. Muy tranquillo. Decent number and variety of fish around rocks and coral immediately off yellow sandy beach. Recommended for partial daytrip (from puerto vallarta) before visiting san pancho...
