If you make a reservation, be sure to honor it. During our visit, four women arrived late, while ten others simply decided not to show up—extremely disrespectful. The guide mentioned that others were on a waitlist and could have taken their spots. Worse, those who skipped out didn’t pay, despite the significant effort required to maintain this special place. Read moreToday we went for a short ride out into the countryside to an art opening at the Chapel of Jimmy Ray. While we have lived in SMA for two years, this was our first time visiting. It definitely will not be our last. The buildings are beautiful and are pieces of art themselves. The grounds were enchanting. The gallery space had beautiful works from some really talented artists (we ended up buying a painting and Stacy got a beautiful hand dyed and hand made silk scarf). Richard, his lifelong companion greeted us and told us it was the first tour he’s given after his friend’s demise, and got emotional... very touching.
