Copa del Sol — Attraction in Jalisco

The place, just like the road to get there and all the surroundings are stunning. It would be a no man’s land if it weren’t populated by a handful of billionaires who privatized this whole part of the coast (for unknown reasons?). Under the pretext of being a private art installation, there is a 20 dollars fee. You first need to purchase your ticket a few kilometers down the road. The staff will be heavily insisting and threatening regarding the forbidden use of drones. Before I was allowed to the office to buy my ticket, I was first turned down by the guards saying this is not a public nor a touristic spot and therefore it was closed to the public due to crowds. I had no idea about this piece of art until I was at dinner and a nearby town and one of the locals mentioned that me and my traveling partners should go out and take a look. It is definitely worth the time. About a kilometer away is a mountain that has been tunnelled out and a pyramid built inside with a window. This all sounds crazy, but it's true once you enter into the pyramid room it lines up through the window with the Copa.
