STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
Prior to my visit to this place I called and talked to Lucero about some questions I had. I had mention to her that I would be staying in Guadalajara and I wasn’t sure I would make it right on time and that I would be willing to pay extra to take us in separate. She said. Let me find out but, shouldn’t be a problem. She comes back on the phone and tells me. Ok you are all set. Go online and make the reservations and here’s my number to text me when it’s done. I went online and paid and she said. You are all set. Then the day before I sent her a DM letting her know we would be there the following day and didn’t get a reply. The day came and we arrived and 3 girls at front said. Oh you are set at 11am and it’s 11:45. You have to wait till the 2pm one now. I said I had spoken to Lucero and that she would be able to have someone to show us around and I would be willing to pay extra. The girls looked at each other and said. Omg yes that’s lucero. She’s bad a communicating that stuff to us but, since she didn’t leave any notes we can’t help you. After arguing and knowing she doesn’t do her job right. They wouldn’t refund me the deposit. I told them I’m sure I’m not the only person that does this and they said. No your not but, normally they let us know in advance. I said ok if that’s the case then why can’t you just take us inside if you know how this is and lucero didn’t leave any notes. 3 girls in front and none could help us go inside and when I asked for a manager, they said no one is here on Sundays. They didn’t even wanted to refund me my deposit and after arguing I said forget it!!!! Don’t go here and to top it off they have on the website that is an authentic castle and it’s not true. It was built in 2018 and they don’t even make tequila there.
Don’t waste your time here and go straight to tequila and do the Jose Cuervo tour. They are professionals not like these people that just...
Read moreI attempted to visit the castle on Mon 5/29. Their website states they open their doors at 10:00am so I drove in (45 mins) to arrive close to opening time to only find out that tours begin at 11. When I asked if I could walk around on my own (we were a group of 4) they said no. Then they adviced us that tours only include a max of 15 individuals & could only get 2 in on their next group. We then asked to use the bathroom which they immediately said no to as well. When I offered to pay to use it, they still said no. HUGE disappointment overall! I ended up walking next door to Don Elia's. I inquired about using a bathroom which they immediately agreed to! Then I inquired about a tour but was told that typically they don't open their doors to the public, however a manager on site agreed to provide us with a tour. After three amazing/WONDERFUL hours of touring their property, we were so relieved to have a business owner open up his property to us and educate us sooo much on the distillery tequila process! He included a generous tasting and sold us tequila that is normally exported to California only. We are SO glad we opted to support a local business instead of a fabricated castle that is own by...
