An out of the way waterfall requiring some back country hiking to get there. We went the day after heavy rains and were able to see some water cascading down. The route described in Google maps is wrong at the end. The route is blocked at around Rio Tibet. Go towards the left and turn right twice on the next streets to rejoin the river bed. Its about a two minute detour. Once back at the river bed, ignore the Google map direction and take the road going up on the right hand side of the river bed. Go past a school on your right and follow the road and continue on the trail after the school. Where the trail ends we started to see water. Use the river bed to climb another 100 yards or so to reach the waterfall.

Beautiful waterfall in the Agua Azul neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta. The trail dead ends at the river so you will have to do a bit of bouldering to scale up the rocks in order to reach the main waterfall. I'm thankful when I went there were some friendly locals that showed me the easiest way to get over the rocks. Please keep Puerto Vallarta's closest waterfall clean and beautiful by TAKING YOUR TRASH and not littering! (these photos were taken in September and don't reflect the waterfall currently)

Amazing seasonal waterfall in the middle of the city; as it is close to anyone hopefully people keep the area clean to enjoy this nature beauty for generations

I went there yesterday (July 10, 2023) and there was no water as this is the hottest season (but supposed to be very rainy one too). The surrounding area was also dirty and unkept. I recommend going to Palo Maria...
