If you travel to Mexico and host in the capital for some weeks, I will strongly recommend you visit the Desierto de los Leones, a beautiful place to ride a mountain bike, do trekking or any outdoor workout, when you finish, do not forget eating something local there are several options with excellent food, this is my favorite place to practice MTB... perhaps you are asking you what happen if you do not travel with your MTB equipment, well you only need to arrive to “La Pluma” to rent one, the local people can tell you how to go there, you will be always feeling safe!!! please feel free to ask me any...

A natural reserve with trails to walk and picnic areas. Just outside the city. Hard to come here if you don't have a vehicle. Upon interning you will find places to sabor typical Mexican dishes at very affordable prices. Just 2miles more ahead is a convent several 100s of yrs old w Beautiful landscaping. $20 pesos per vehicle to enter the reserve and $18 pesos entrance fee to the convent. Last car into the reserve goes in at 5pm, but you can take longer to exit. The convent has a restaurant. Guided tours or information about the site would be helpful. A nice place to...

Are you serious? This is my favourite spot ever. I started coming since I was a baby. I hope someone PLEASE make the people there STOP building houses. We need to protect what's left of the forest. Now, it's 4 houses in the middle of the forest but it looks like they want to start a new town there. I understand these are "their" lands...but if they could just UNDERSTAND that protecting the FOREST is our BEST bet against climate change...and...

This place is incredible. Surprised that it is close to Mexico City. Great to disconnect and enjoy a peaceful moment.
