Love it! The views! Nature! So green! Definitely don't bring your sunday shoes, it's quite the rocky place going up. We were charged 20 pesos per person at this gate. When asked why? they didn't know what to say. Ended up saying it's the charge for us to appreciate nature and that they had set up restrooms by the volcano. Ok. A couple of people I was with said they didn't used to charge. Oh well I guess. There is in fact restrooms(wooden shed with a pit in it), a little store shed as well were things are quite pricey, and a little shed were you can set up camp, all by the volcano. We made a fire, set up a griddle and made lunch when we came down. Overall a good experience. I just think there should be some signs posted for the way. And I still question the right of those people to be charging at some bulleigh gate they set up. Oh and try no to smell the sulfur fumes throughout the volcano... that's no bueno...

Started in Angahuan by hiring a guide - 300mxn for my horse and 300mxn for the guides horses. It's a long and possibly hot horse ride. If you've never rode a horse like me it will be very uncomfortable. A person stationed at a hut at the base of the volcano will request 20mxn for keeping the place clean despite seeing some litter throughout the entire day. There are 2 routes up the volcano. A very steep and slippery route and to the right of it, a much less steep but still slippery path. A random dog or two might accompany you. Going down is fun but you will get sand in your shoes and socks. It is not a hot tourists destination but who knows...

Worth it. If you're an outdoor lover this is a must! You can either start from the bottom of the inactive village or get a horse from the local village to the bottom of the Volcano and then walk it. The horse ride is approx 2 hours and needs to be arranged the day before as a guide and horses will be required. A beautiful view awaits at the top.
