Beautiful and mostly natural ecological reserve. The best way to experience it is to park just outside the entrance (20 pesos per person to go in by foot, 150 flat by car), and start your trek upwards through the routes available by the edge of the road. There are three parts in total to the climb, the first is pretty easy to go through, it's mostly just wooden steps and most will make it through fine unless you're in absolute misery health-wise. The second part of the climb is the longest and probably the most arduous, any who aren't somewhat prepared will probably die (not really, just complain a lot and probably ask for a ride the rest of the way and be unable to complete the climb without a long rest). The third is the same as the first, only tough if you're tired already.

Along the way you'll be treated to beautiful views, just be sure to wear something comfortable that you don't mind getting dirty. There's also rest areas with vending machines where you can stop for a break. The climb is totally worth it as at the summit, you'll find a couple of different park attractions plus two giant concrete slides (though be sure to bring something you can slide on like a cardboard box or a jacket you don't like too much, especially if you're more on the skinny side, as you won't get much downward momentum otherwise).

You can also just go up by car, you're sure to find parking available at different parts of Chipinque. Beware bears, don't feed the wildlife and...

Me sorprendí y pensé: “¿Achis, cuál sanción?”.

Astonishing views, trails for all hiker levels, a bunch of nature and nature sounds is what you can expect. My experience there was amazing, we hiked for a total of ~6 hours (4 to get to the top of El Final and 2 getting back down)... Choose wisely the trails you'll hike the "scenery" one are less inclined but way longer whereas the "Express" ones are shorter but high inclination. My tips: - Buy entrance tickets in advance (~$70mxn) on the website - Bring water and/or water bottles. You don't need tons of water, bring one and then refill as you progress on your adventure from the water fountains - Bring bug repellent (this is nature so expect mosquitos) - Bring sunscreen : wear some before you start but as you'll be (most likely) sweating, you might need to apply a second or third time - Bring lunch / snacks : there are no stores wo you'll be able to eat ONLY what you bring. If your hike lasts more then be prepared with some food/snacks

I didn’t like it. I had higher expectations for Chipinque. This is a good trail park for kids and to exercise definitely. I did the higher rate in AllTrails app and it was disappointing. I brought some friends over and we did Chipinque then teleférico and topo chico. We all agreed that teleférico and topo chico are way better. Chipinque literally put a wood path over one of the main trails. Also not pedestrian friendly if you are taking public transportation: access will be a little dangerous cause there are no sidewalks even at the park the road is very limited so be careful people in Chipinque don’t know how to drive. They have nice bathrooms so for hikers you know what that means. As I said it’s good for kids and exercise or maybe to take nice pictures, but if you want a real hike don’t bother just go to teleférico or la huasteca.
