So we decided to make this a family trip. It was my first time traveling out of the country in over a decade. We were there on a timeshare experience and one of the main issues I would say was Transportation around the property. There was always a wait. They never seem to have enough shuttle buses or golf carts which were reserved for current members going at the same time. There was always a line to wait for transportation to and from the restaurant and to and from the water park and to and from the rooms. Everyone was super nice but that was a big issue. Another issue was navigating the property. If you go to the property website there is a download app link, but it only takes you to the Apple Store. There is an Android app but you will need to go to your Play Store and search for it yourself. Unfortunately this will be your only guide to knowing which activities are available on the property during your stay as well as the layout of the property itself. This is your lifeline and you will definitely need to have it downloaded when you get there.
The food was pretty good overall. I would say good burger was probably one of the better casual dining experiences I had there. Unfortunately we celebrated one of the kids birthdays here and they served us a previously frozen cake that was not that good. The servers here in this restaurant are the best. They are very attentive and extremely personable. They are at the ready to recite the Good Burger Kenan and Kel Mantra making it a fun experience for everyone. Another one is the Piazzo restaurant. You have to have a reservation it is seated dining and the food was really good. We celebrated one of the kids birthdays there and they had a really beautiful elaborate SpongeBob cake that was so pretty and well made.
You definitely want to eat your breakfast at Le Spatula. Expect for everything to be mainly buffet style and with the number of children around you definitely want to get there early to the buffet and ensure everything is not picked over. They were pretty good about changing out the food but my recommendation is the early bird gets the worm.
Another tip... I would say make sure you have comfortable walking shoes and a good bag to carry things walking between the water parks and back and forth to the Cabana is more than a notion. Even though I'm coming from Georgia the humid hot air was hard to breathe and took some getting used to. By day 2 I was adjusted. Honestly you don't really need any clothes what you need is a good comfortable cool cover-up and a few bathing suits LOL The Lazy River was the fun place just because it had the coolest water and less children splashing you in the face. It was a real chill vibe in the lazy river. That's not to say there weren't children playing there but it's just a different vibe and the current keeps you moving constantly where is some of the other places are more stagnant. The water slides are awesome especially the super high big one that all the kids seem to love. Overall our kids had an awesome time. Mission...
Read moreAqua nick is smaller than described. My son and I are avid annual water park members at a Los Angeles water park for 6 years now (we love the water and swimming, on average we stay at water parks 5 hours at minimum) this park was completed by son and I in 2.5 hours. Since we completed all attractions within 2.5 hours I would recommend for families to purchase the half-day pass that allows you to use park 1p-6p (close). Nick Bistro does not have American culture kid's menu typical foods such as chicken strips hamburgers hot dogs pizza macaroni and cheese or french fries. Hence families with young children who have a preference/are accustomed to abovementioned foods, do not attend nick bistro because your kid's only option will be desserts/ice cream. Many of the souvenirs at the gift shop can be found on Amazon. We purchased a 9-inch plushie for $100 and on Amazon it's $35. If you do purchase souvenirs use a credit card because you can return for a refund if you use cash (dollars/pesos) you will not get reimbursed. Food was pretty tasty at the "snack" locations. There is a total of 8 locations which staff quickly flash a list at entrance and do not provide a map or list of snack shops along with their menus which is a negative because that means it requires you walking to locations throughout to discover whether or not you will get food based on your liking. We got to try 2 out of the 8 locations. Bring towels from resort as towels are thin and shiny and do not absorb water very well. My son is almost 9 and loves the water and is on a swim team and did not wish to return...
Read moreFor the price, this place is underwhelming at best. It was my son's 4th birthday and he LOVES Paw Patrol so we splurged and got tickets as I read several reviews that said you could meet all the characters. The characters in the water park itself are VERY limited. Thank goodness we were there right when it opened so we could meet one pup or we wouldn't have seen any. They tell you to download the app to confirm characters, but don't tell you that you can't see 90% of the characters that are listed as they are for "hotel guests only". When we tried to go see Chase and Marshall, we were ran after by Sonia, who claimed to be a Manager, who was very rude. They just want to upsell you left and right. My son was too small for most of the rides. Overall, it was not worth the...
