This is a cenote with cave, incredible stalactites and underwater marvels that you won’t see at too many places, must see!

We booked through Expedia and Cancun Sightseeing, this was the second part of our visit to Tulum ruins. Our guide Sandro was amazing! Both for Tulum and Nohoch Cenote, he made it a great experience.

When we arrived, there was only one other small group here. Our group of 6 people was small enough to make this visit very enjoyable, and to give us enough time to explore the place fully.

Cenote is not similar to some others in a way that it is not too deep, it is more a long underground water “lake” that continues from the opening space into a real cave. Water in the cave also isn’t too deep so you can swim in and see amazing stalactites, underwater stalagmites and some bats on the ceiling. Bats are not any danger, and are not flying around too much, just make sure to stay quiet and don’t make sudden noises.

They will rent a life jacket to you, but don’t expect too much food or drinks here, this is a real nature gem, so nothing more wasn’t added to this place besides all needed basics for a pleasant and quiet stay. Excellent 5+ attraction that is a must see if you are in...

Cenote Nohoch Nah Chich wasn't even a planned excursion, it was just a "look up cenotes in our area on Google and pick one'

HOLY CRAP

For the price of $27USD/person plus tipping our guide Cruz, we snorkeled deep into a dark, ancient cenote cave system with just flashlights. Cruz pointed out and taught us about all kinds of different stalagtites and fossils. We saw little clusters of fruit bats snuggled up mere inches above our heads. In one spot we even dipped just below the water to pass into another cavern. In many places, the ceiling of the cave was only a couple feet above our heads. It was all so magical and like nothing I have ever seen.

We got there early-ish and on our way out at 11am, 5+ bus tour groups of 10 people apiece were just getting into the water. We went with just our guide into the dark and the only other people were some divers below is in some spots - apparently this is an AMAZING place for cave diving.

So cool. The coolest thing. The absolute coolest thing.

We've BEEN places all over the world, we're fortunate and we know this. This was an extraordinary experience. I can't even put it into words. A+++++ one of the coolest things we have ever done,...

The best Cenote with the nicest people/staff ever!!

Opens at 8 am and we would recommend being there early (before the small buses arrive). We had the entire Cenote almost to ourselves. Entry fee is 300 Pesos with live jacket and snorkeling equipment. 550 Pesos with an additional private guide and little flashlights. We had a guide just for ourselves, which was amazing. He explained and told us so much about the Cenote - the history and the importance of it. We snorkeled into the cave and the darkness with little flashlights and it was a once in a lifetime experience. We couldn’t take any pictures, but believe me it was just breathtaking. The stalactites and stalagmites were so impressive - I have never seen something like this before. We also saw 2 turtles. It was 10000% worth it - highly...
