It was adventurous and I get to see the jungle as we trekked across the bushes and trails. All the way the guides explained to us the types of trees and usage and at some point we stopped for a breather. During that time the guide showed us how natural chewing gum was made by the Mayans. The horseback ride lasted approximately 45 minutes and the it was straight to the cenote for a crisp and refreshing swim. The Rancho also served as a sanctuary for rescued animals which I think was very noble of them. It was a very relaxing and educational excursion. Give it a try. And before the horse ride they will give you a crash course on horseback riding so don't worry if you have not ridden before.

Open cenote but it's not very big and has pipes going down into it I assume for water which are not well hidden, some old barrier bits in the water too which need replacing. I would go to larger cenote if you have the choice.

Fun resort activity. The only part of this that isn't a plus it's right next to the Carr. Tulum-Cancun 307 highway so you do hear a lot of vehicle traffic.
