It was adventurous and I get to see the jungle as we trekked across the bushes and trails. All the way the guides explained to us the types of trees and usage and at some point we stopped for a breather. During that time the guide showed us how natural chewing gum was made by the Mayans. The horseback ride lasted approximately 45 minutes and the it was straight to the cenote for a crisp and refreshing swim. The Rancho also served as a sanctuary for rescued animals which I think was very noble of them. It was a very relaxing and educational excursion. Give it a try.
