Review of Mayan Xtreme Park, Cozumel - Zero Stars

My experience at Mayan Xtreme Park in Cozumel was absolutely dreadful. On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, around 3 to 3:30 PM, I got into an ATV accident due to their bike malfunctioning. This left me with a dislocated right arm, immense pain, and nightmares. I am now out of a job and overwhelmed with medical debt. Despite all this, the park has not reached out, compensated me, or even checked to see if I was dead or alive.

They denied that my husband and I were there, but we have GoPro footage proving our visit. This blatant lie adds to my frustration. The park refused to cover my medical bills, showing a complete lack of responsibility and empathy. They even fired Miguel, our tour guide, who pleaded for the company to pay for the accident and medical care. Miguel showed heart and conscience, unlike the management.

While I was lying injured on the ground, the staff deceitfully brought a waiver form, claiming it was for the ambulance. This unethical behavior is appalling. There were no safety measures in place, and we were never given a waiver or disclaimer form to sign beforehand.

This incident ruined our first anniversary in Cozumel. What should have been a joyous occasion turned into a nightmare. The park also took our $140 cash entrance fee, adding to the betrayal. No amount of compensation can make up for what we went through.

I strongly advise against visiting Mayan Xtreme Park. My lawyers will be contacting this company as I will be suing them for their irresponsible and unethical conduct. This was an amazing experience. Extremely exciting. Jorge de la jungle (George of the Jungle), Joshua, and Vincent were all very sweet, informative and helpful. They made us feel very safe. We did the ATV and zip lining. I’ve done both previously, but this ATV experience is one of the ROUGHEST I’ve ever experienced. They take you through the jungle and the terrain is rocky enough to give you shaken baby syndrome. It’s not for the faint of heart and definitely not for anyone with carpel tunnel, but if you’re looking for good adrenaline fun and excitement, this is definitely the perfect tour. Had the best time with Jorge, Victor, Rudy y Manuel. They were very friendly and attentive, guiding us through several ziplines and a pretty intense ATV ride (for a first timer!). Tons of fun and so glad we did this! Highly recommend! Also, we took a taxi from our hotel and he offered to come back for us after the tour, I'd recommend the same to anyone since there aren't taxis waiting...
