Generally speaking, I think every archaeological site is worth visiting. The reason for my low rating of this one is the behavior of the people who work here. First, even though a sign clearly states that professors are not required to pay the entry fee, they forced me to pay. That's ok. I prefer to support conservation work. What was worse is that they tried to force me to pay extra to take photos (even only with a phone) and then followed me around the whole time to police me and make sure I didn't take any photos. I don't see the point of this at all. It's not like photos (without flash even) are going to harm the carved rocks here. Lastly, the archaeological site itself is just a lumpy field. The only reason to come here is for the carved stones which i think they should move to Santiago Tuxtla so more people can see them. It's not easy to reach this site. The...

Luckily waited around (about 30 min) and the curator returned. Incredibly happy we waited. The curator was patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable of every piece there.
