Bioparque México (Edomex) — Attraction in State of Mexico

Not good, but not the worst. The park is mostly hills and the little push cars they rent out are only for 1 - 2 year olds, so bring a stroller for young kids because it's more of a hike than a normal amusement park.

The safari is terribly, horribly bumpy and you need to keep a death grip on your kids to keep them from falling off the benches.

The animals look well fed, no visible ribcages. The herbivores all seem to have babies, which is cute.

But the lions look miserable and the hippo pond is so, so tiny. The single elephant was laying down the whole time, likely lonely and depressed. Poor thing looked dead.

If they can't keep a group of elephants they should stop advertising a group of elephants. And certainly stop torturing a poor elephant with a life in solitary confinement.

Feeding giraffes is always fun for kids and the giraffes seemed happy enough. The cups of lettuce and carrots are $20 MXN each.

The sea lion show was really boring and mostly just the trainers talking, not worth it for young kids.

The dinosaur boat tour was incredibly short and they spray you with large amounts of dirty, stagnant pond water. But my kid liked it.

The food in the park was surprisingly cheap and decent.

I took my family to Bio Parque Estrella as a birthday gift for my daughters, it turned out to be a great experience. The park is just beautiful and it's amazingly big. The safari ride was awesome, you get to see the animals up close and even feed them. It took two hours to reach the park, it's very far from Mexico City but it's worth the long trip. Make sure to get to the park early in the morning because there are a lot of attractions and some of them have schedules, so you're gonna need the whole day to see everything. The staff was very helpful and kind. This is not an expensive place, I think that what you pay here is really worth the experience. My daughters had a blast in the little boats ride, it's just very fun for the kids. They also were amazed to be able to feed the animals. Parking is not free but is cheap and there's a lot of parking space. Shows are just Ok, the trainers and actors are just not much into it, they seem a little bored of doing it and lack the necessary energy to pump up the crowd, but it was fun anyway. Está será la mejor reseña y la más grande. Recomendaciones generales: 1-Se recomienda adquirir por fuera los boletos ya sea en línea, centros comerciales y/o ofertas empresariales hasta escolares para no llegar a pagar los 400 a 500 pesos. 2- Llevar carro o motocicleta por el lugar donde se encuentra el parque y el acceso o distancia de la entrada a los torniquetes (acceso principal). 3- Puedes llevar alimentos muy recomendable para comer en el estacionamiento , por qué solo te dejan entrar con agua. No lleves mascotas no están permitidas 5- Si vas en temporada de calor lleva ropa cómoda, ligera y delgada. 6- Llega temprano a la apertura para que te dé tiempo de visitar todo el lugar y asistir a las actividades. Mi experiencia no fue del todo satisfactoria por varios factores decidí llegar en autobús para evitar el desgaste de manejar y las casetas por lo que pague 140 pesos de ida desde Lechería Edo. De México y 120 el regreso. Al llegar quise caminar desde la entrada para hacer ejercicio y me comentó el personal que estaba prohibido cosa que no fue cierto por qué al regreso el mismo personal caminaba por la avenida a la salida del su turno. La atención de canje y venta de boletos es buena no excelente por qué no es rápido el trámite te recomiendo asistir primero a funciones programadas como el show de aves y el show de bucaneros, en la entrada tienen los precios de todas las actividades y te enteras si es por evento o ilimitado en este caso pueden hacerlo todo el día. Parte de la razón por la que damos 3 estrellas es por qué básicamente el parque es para niños no hay mucho para adultos fuera de los shows, el sendero y safari POR LO QUE SI PESAS ARRIBA DE 85 KILOS SOLO VAS A PASEAR Y CUIDAR NIÑOS para que tengas en cuenta el dato, las actividades como Tirolesa, Antártica, Extreme. Otra razón de las tres estrellas es los elevados precios de sus souvenirs, comida, dulces, botanas y fruta ejemplos Unas para refri 90 pesos, papás de 40 pesos la bolsa chica, cocktail de fruta baso chico 45 pesos etc.... Otra razón de la calificación es que les falló la señalización del lugar de los tigres que es dentro del sendero. Por último el recorrido en el safari fue una impresión negativa debido a que el operador llevaba prisa por lo que no daba tiempos ideales para que le des de comer a los animales como avestruces, llamas etc. Y la señorita que iba explicando no se le entendía nada por lo rápido que hablaba y todo por qué llevaban prisa para atender un grupo escolar antes que nosotros.
