Cascada "Velo de la novia" — Attraction in State of Mexico

This is not a touristic place and if you are not adventurous you'll find it a bit sketchy to get there. That said, from the directions Google Maps gives you you'll get to a dead end with a big wooden gate to a ranch. Park your car there, approach to the gate and you'll see a path running on the right. Follow it, you'll go underneath a big electricity tower, down the hill leaving the ranch on the left and the highway on the right. After 600 m you'll get to a creek, cross it and follow the path up, till you get to a railway track. You'll see a house in front of you, take the railway to the left, don't worry no trains will run over you. After 100 m you'll get to a railway bridge, cross it and you'll see several paths to the right to go down the hill. It's your choice which one you take, all of them fall at some point on the creek upstream the waterfall unless you walk another 500 m after the railway bridge. If you get upstream the waterfall you may find a bit dangerous to go down to the waterfall, unless you've done some climbing or...

Google Maps will take you to a dead end at a huge iron gate. It's better to head to La Fresa, right off of the carretera, walk to the railroad tracks behind the restaurant, turn left, and walk for 10 minutes or so until you see paths leading off the railroad tracks. Un lugar inesperado y escondido dentro de los bosques del municipio de Ocoyoacac. El camino a la cascada es bello, sin embargo, los visitantes son muy inconcientes y podemos ver basura, restos de plásticos y vidrios que están en la cascada, lo cual no solo da pena por la belleza del lugar, sino que también pueden ser un peligro para los otros visitantes y mascotas o animales del bosque que llegan a la cascada. Muchas de las piedras están dañadas con grafitis, lo cual habla de una gran falta de conciencia en cuanto al cuidado y conciencia ecológica tanto de los visitantes, como de los lugareños y de las autoridades encargadas...
