We went as part of the traveling beetle guided tour. It was so lovely to visit and learn about this work of Luis Barragan. The son of the original owners still live there, so the tour felt very personal. It was nice not only seeing the architecture but also the gardens and interact with the horses on the property. Cuadra San Cristobal is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit and a must do when visiting Mexico City. The grounds are pristine and offer many nooks and crannies to sit and reflect. The tour guide works on the grounds and knows it inside and out, answering questions along the way. We had a magical experience during our visit and even got to visit with a...

The son of the original owners still live there, so the tour felt very personal. It was nice not only seeing the architecture but also the gardens and interact with the horses on the property. Must email to get an appointment. It is 300 pesos per person and you get a tour of the outside of the house. You can wander and take pictures after the tour. It's about 45 minutes ride from city center within a gated community.

Un lugar sensacional en toda la amplitud de la palabra. Las obras de Barragán tienen un misticismo que no ha sido construido en vano, ya que basta con cruzar el portón para entrar a este espacio maravilloso, lleno de calma, de paz, de belleza. Un lugar único en la ciudad, en el país y en el mundo, donde cada detalle es hermoso. Acceder a este lugar es un poco complicado, ya que sigue siendo una vivienda privada y solo está abierta al público en ocasiones especiales, como exposiciones artísticas temporales, semanas de la arquitectura, etc. Pero sin duda merece la pena vivir la experiencia de la Cuadra San Cristóbal al menos una vez en la vida.
