It's a beautiful place worth a visit. Getting there should be pretty straightforward, since you just have to take the Mexico-Toluca toll road .There's a lot of stuff to do in there, including hiking, trout fishing, horse riding, mountain bike riding, go-karts rentals and much more. It's a great place, specially if you have kids. This place provides a unique chance to enjoy the geographical beauty of Mexico. The mountains are covered with dense pine forests, one of the various natural regions of Mexico. Warning: Due to the high elevation ≈3000 m (9840) ft, you should exercise caution, specially if you have certain medical conditions. Also, beware that temperatures are much lower than in Mexico City, so it is advisable to bring warm clothing. Weather can be unpredictable on the mountains, especially during the rainy season. In terms of safety, you should exercise some...

A fun place for everyone if you have 1 free day in Mexico. I recommend the restaurant "El Venado". Great local food, you can fish your trout and you can get it cocked in at least 10 different ways. Appetizers and mains are great too. Prizes are good but be mindful that most places including this restaurant don't take debit nor AMEX cards. After lunch you can drive 500m to a small valley to ride horses or motorcycles. Be VERY careful with the toys! Locals tend to underestimate the risk but if careful, you will have lots of fun. Look for the horses Coqueta and...

Miss Regrets, I believe that you done me wrong Miss Regrets, can you please exit out my home? Miss Regret, I think I'm better off alone Miss Regret, I got these deep regrets (and I'm trippin' and fallin') Some things I can't forget Lord knows, I've tried my best You said it's not my best I came up out my flesh Some things I must confess Spoke my truth, paid my debt Can't you see I'ma wreck? Let me loose, I digress This is me and I'm blessed This is me and I'm blessed Anybody fightin' through the stress? Anybody fightin'...

Went with family and the kids had a blast with the various activities available (horse back ridding and ATV for an additional reasonable charge) . Had to pay for the bathrooms and no place to wash hands(only down fall). It got chilly towards the end of the day , but we were able to purchase sweaters at a very affordable price. Beautiful and open space for picnicking and enjoying nature , a true gem !

I had a lovely time at over 10,000 feet of altitude. We had my favorite Sopa de Medula, and so many quesadillas, including: Hongos; Huitlacoche; Flor de Calabasas, and of course we couldn't leave with a few Tlacoyos de Haba and a round of Piña Coladas for us all. What a delight, we had to walk around the beautiful valley before we headed out on our way :-)
