Museo Paleontológico de Santa Lucía Quinamétzin — Attraction in State of Mexico

The place is nice place, pretty museum, looks-wise. I expected it to be much bigger as there were so many mamut's skeletons found in the zone and lots of talk about the archeology or paleontology findings versus the AiFA airport construction.

Nevertheless it is an absolute shame that the group of people who built this museum gave a damn about museography aspects: as simple as writing labels and signs in a decent and professional way, instead, they did it like absolute illiterates or analphabets.

There are tons os gramatical errors, tons of erros as simple as the names of places, people and things! EVEN in Spanish. an absolute shame... got proof, just look at the pictures I took during my visit: "100 million yErs".... then; is it with "H" or without it: "Chichinautzin" or "Chihinauhtzin"...

¡Absolutely NOT acceptable for a museum!

The "dark" room with the projections is cool, but they missed the shot by putting building columns absolutely in the middle of the projection, not good.

Personnel at the museum, both civil and military: EXCELLENT!... Every single person was kind, attentive, nice, willing to aid, help and answer anything. This was great!

But, at the end, it comes to being an "ok" musem, TOO far away from Mexico City downtown as to just go and visit unless you happened to arrive/depart to/from the, (not so close passengers terminal anyway), Felipe Angeles airport (AIFA).

Could be great... sad it was made with the "meh! - we don't care factor..."a la mexicana" as...

I seriously didn't expect this, but the "Museo del Mamut" (officially Quinamétzin) near AIFA is an absolute hidden gem and gets a big 5 stars from me! I came here expecting a few bones, but the collection is mind-blowing. They found all these fossils right where the airport was being built, and they did an incredible job setting up the museum. The main attraction is the huge, almost complete mammoth skeleton—it’s seriously massive and an amazing photo op! But it’s not just bones; the entire experience is super high-tech. They have these awesome interactive digital rooms, 4K projections, and even an augmented reality area that brings the prehistoric environment of the Basin of Mexico to life. It's set up perfectly for families and anyone who loves history or science. I spent way more time than I planned just checking out the life-sized models of the ancient animals, like the saber-toothed tigers and giant sloths. Plus, the best part? Admission is currently free! If you're near AIFA, this is a must-see—a true...

I must state that despite I had expected MUCH MORE ... to see and enjoy, our visit was enjoyable.

as always... too much people who do not respect distancing nor facemasks usage...

As for the museum itself, I expected to see more... MORE, MORE Mammoths! I mean... reconstructed mammoths. Archeologically... talking. I expected more Archeological evidence and share! I did not expected lots of mockups!

Must of the interactive screens were out of order!

The souvenirs shop... was, was, was... an absolute disappoinment. I expected much more!

The people... the staff at the museum was amazingly polite!!!!! Applause 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
