Even in the dry season of April, the waterfall has powerful flow even if not occupying the entire width. Good roads to reach. The Sihuapan street comes straight into the village, ends in a cul-de-sac which is the car parking area and entry to the falls. There is a 15mxn per head entry fee at the top and another 5mxn closer to the fall. Plenty of eateries, souvenir shops, toilets. From the point of entry, if one walks straight across a hanging bridge, one comes to a viewpoint overlooking the top of the falls. Instead if one goes down nearly 240 steps, one reaches a short trail that takes you right upto the falls. There is a barricade so that one cannot actually touch the falls or go under but there is quite a spray. The paths are well laid out, made of stone or cenent and not muddy or slippery. After the exertion of climbing back up the steps in the heat, it was refreshing to have a “ coco frio”, a chilled tender coconut...

Mesmerizing and astonishing. 'El Salto's' waterfall is beautiful, truly one of mother natures gift to the world. A must see on your visit to Los Tuxtla's region in Veracruz. A great place to take the family. People of all ages will be impressed by the falls massive pour of water and roar. The overlook brings you close to the edge of the fall. A stairway to the bottom of the fall allows you the opportunity to feel the crash of the water. FYI, you will get wet. Make sure your phone has a case and screen cover. Unfortunately access to the bottom is not wheelchair accessible, please be mindful of seniors and people with disabilities. Mind your trash and keep the Tuxtla...

The falls themselves are nice but there are way too many vendors selling junk. I parked and some guy came up and told me that he looked after the parking here and would watch my car which isjust BS to get a tip. I could see a way over to a gate thing and asked him shouldn't I go that way and he said no that I should go down to the end, through all the vendors etc. Turned out the way I suggested was a shortcut that would have shaved a lot of walking off my visit and avoided all the people selling useless junk. So he lied to me, out and out lied. Fine people you have representing...
