I had hoped for a positive experience at this location, but unfortunately, we encountered significant issues. Upon arriving at the cenote, we discovered that the credit card payment system was down, which led to a frustrating and time-consuming situation. I strongly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance or bringing sufficient cash to cover entrance fees. Given the high volume of visitors and the modern expectations for digital transactions, it is disappointing that the internet connectivity was inadequate. Additionally, it would have been appreciated if some form of compensation/discount had been offered to address the inconvenience caused by the system failure since we did have some cash just not enough to cover our whole party’s entrance. Overall, this experience was quite disappointing, especially given our initial excitement. Additionally, the road to the cenote was extremely rough and uncomfortable which we could have overlooked had it not been for the bad overall experience.
