English: We discovered Mani-Chan by accident. We just turned off of Route 10 because we like the look of the sign. After 4 km on a dirt road we arrived at Mani-Chan and were heartily welcomed. The price includes a tour of Mani-Chan and a visit of the cenote Ta'ak. The tour of Mani-Chan was very detailed, with a lot of information and possibilties to ask. Don't worry if your spanish isn't that well, the owners are very polite and patient and will explain everything in simple words. The Price was 50 Pesos per person in cash (Dez 2021). Mani-Chan is one of the most beautiful cenotes we have seen so far. The water is very clear, has a nice tone of blue. It is just a wonderful experience. Cenote Ta'ak is different but as well very beautiful. Shortly after we arrived, birds entered the cenote and started playing and bathing in the water, which was very nice to watch.
Do not miss to visit!

Read moreA very nice place managed by so friendly people! 🤩 Do not make a race by trying to visit all cenotes around, that’s useless ! You’ve two types of cenotes: the open ones (old) and the cave ones (young), here you have the chance to visit each types, in one place. I did not see that in many other comments, but you have to know that this place is not only cenotes ➡️ it’s also an opportunity to talk with the local people and discover their culture thanks to a beautiful reproduction of maya house, garden, tools and sculpture.
In the nice garden, you can eat, chill, relax…and rest. After the visit of the cenotes, they will propose you to try Yucatán liquors (it’s included 😉). The price is 120$MX by the way, cheap to compare to others around. Also, this place is familial, we see it, we feel it. That’s drastically different to compare to other ones where goal is only to trap tourists.
Enjoy...
Read moreBeautiful cenotes, probably the most well preserved place I’ve ever been to, basically untouched. There are beautiful fossils everywhere and some traces of Mayan tools. The tour guide was extremely kind and knowledgeable. It is clear that him and his father have a lot of genuine pride in sharing their part of the world. I’m certain that the place will be even more beautiful when you visit! Overall, I’d highly recommend that you check out local run cenotes, not just the heavily funded and processed ones. The locals of Homún and the surrounding areas are extremely nice and trustworthy. Yes they are trying to sell you something, but you can trust they claim is the truth and that interactions are very personal. I’d highly recommend supporting the local population and getting a truly unique...
