If you haven't done your research on monuments around Turkey, make this place a priority. You will get a better idea of the history behind every important buildings and monuments around Turkey where you can choose places to visit. The models are large scaled down of the actual buildings, mosques and monuments. There is an actual scaled down version of the Bosphorus Bridge which you can cross by foot within the park. And be assured and feel safe as there is security gate you have to pass before getting in the park. Lovely place for kids and adults alike. It even has a little play area for the kids. A must see place. It's like the Legoland of Turkey but without Legos. You would need a good 3-4 hours on your hand to totally explore and appreciate the park. Entrance fee 15 Liras (2018). Directions from Sultanahmet: You can buy an Istanbulkart (Oyster) from the machines for 6 Liras from outside the tram stops (English option available) and load the card with another 12 liras. That should be enough to get you there and back. Take the T1 Tram from Sultanahmet station to Eminonu (3 stops). Cross to the other side of the road and get on any of the bus 47, 47c,47E from there to Miniaturk (about half hour on bus).

I recently visited Miniaturk, and it was an unforgettable experience. This incredible miniature park showcases some of the most iconic landmarks and historical sites from Turkey, all in beautifully crafted models. The attention to detail is remarkable, making it a perfect spot for both tourists and locals. The park is well-organized, and the layout makes it easy to navigate between the various exhibits. Each miniature is accompanied by informative plaques, which enhance the experience by providing historical context and interesting facts about the structures. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and there are plenty of spots to relax and enjoy the surroundings. I also appreciated the availability of refreshments and amenities throughout the park. Overall, Miniaturk is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to appreciate the rich history and culture of Turkey in a unique and engaging way. I can’t wait to return and explore more!

Good to spend an hour or even more, with or without kids. Arrive early as it seams to become busy after lunch. Totally worth the 150 TLR for an (foreign) adult (as of May 2023). They show a lot of buildings, located mainly in Istanbul and Turkey, but they also include some important historical buildings outside Turkey. Each building has a little sign informing about the history of the building. "The Bosporus" was cleaned at the time I was there, but I am sure it looks nice once refiled. In addition to all those historical buildings, the airport and soccer stadium are also shown. The also have a restaurant with decent prices (large Cappuccino 40 TLR, can of coke 20 TLR, May 2023), a souvenir shop, ice shop etc. It would be 5* if they would care a bit more about details and maintenance. Nevertheless, it was worth time and money and would recommend everybody to go there (easy bus ride from Taksim, for example).

Warning: It may make you hooked on Turkey. We went here mostly as a joke, but were surprised at how large and interesting it was. There are many models and they are all well-made and the cats and birds inhabiting the place add a lot of fun atmosphere to it. I can see why it may not be the best place during the summer. We went at the end of November and it was a tad chilly, but there is nothing to shade you from the sun, so if the weather is sunny and without clouds, maybe go another day. You should also reserve several hours for it. Getting there with public transportation was a bit of a hassle and if you relax and take your time, you could probably spend more than an hour, or close to two, if you really dwell on everything there. The only major problem with this place is that it shows you how many sights Turkey has to offer in all corners of the country that it makes you wish to travel the whole country.
