We came soooo far away because I read the reviews and really wanted to see this place. It was the worst service (or a complete absence of it) we ever had at any winery in Moldova.
Rooms: we got modern loft. They have issues with water pressure for the shower , and flashing toilet. Other than that the to was fine. Comfy bed and working AC, thanks god We arrived with a stroller, a suitcase and bags ( and a child), they don’t offer any help with luggage so be ready to pull it upstairs yourself. There is quite a few steps up on the hill till you make it to your room
Wine tasting: never had to wait for hours trying to taste wine in my life. We arrived and no one was acknowledging us at the restaurant for an hour! Took them an 1 hour to pour first glass of wine. Then I had to wait 30-40 minutes for each one to follow and chase them around the restaurant literally begging for wine! We didn’t like their wine, there are better tasting wine in Moldova
Food: Below overage. No good desserts. Service: young waitresses don’t speak Russian. We spoke English. They are understaffed and even when you get their attention you wait forever. I felt unwelcome and I had to chase everyone for food, water and wine. Their manages was better, but she was overworked and tired. The worst was our breakfast experience: We woke up hungry and thirsty, our child was hungry. We came downstairs and no one was there. We sat at the table for probably 20 min and no one came to us, they were busy packaging wine for a guest. I came twice and asked for breakfast menu or how can we order anything. No reaction. Young girl rolled her eyes at me. At them a group of 10 people walked in and got greeted and seated and served IMMEDIATELY! Is it a discrimination because they spoke Moldavian!? I was shocked! We were sitting still not being offered any water, no one asked what my 2 year old baby wants to eat or drink. And these people got served like kings right before our eyes. They had food before us and drinks. It was so rude, I was furious and wanted to talk to a manager but no one to be found. Place is dead, no people and we couldn’t be served for hours with a small child. I’m sorry but I have never felt so disappointed and disrespected in my life! We will never be back or recommend this place, they need to train the staff and teach them customer service. Place still needs a...
Read moreThe hotel is situated on a stunning wine estate, perched atop a hill. It's a new and very comfortable property. However, we look back on our stay at Crama Mircești with mixed feelings. Upon arrival, the service was abysmal. We headed to the front desk to check in, where four staff members were engaged in conversation, completely ignoring us. After several attempts to get their attention, one of them finally checked us in. She was highly unprofessional, offering no information about our stay, the internet, or breakfast. We had to ask about everything ourselves, and her responses were delivered in a very rude manner.
The room itself was beautiful and comfortable, but unfortunately, the toilet was broken, and there were hairs in the shower. When we reported this to the reception, we were met with rudeness once again.
In the afternoon, we ordered coffee, tea, and dessert at the restaurant, but the service was subpar. While the coffee and dessert arrived quickly, we had to wait 40 minutes for the tea. To top it off, when we went to pay, they charged us for the room again, even though we had already paid upon arrival.
With not much else in the area, we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious, and the view was fantastic, but the service was once again disappointing—extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. We had to ask for the bill four times, and when the waiter didn’t return, we decided to pay at the bar. We found her chatting with a colleague, and she even laughed in our faces when we went to pay. And again, they had charged us for the room along with the meal.
The same story continued at breakfast the next morning—terrible service with rude, untrained staff. Upon checking out, they asked us to pay yet again.
It's baffling how such a modern, beautiful, and comfortable hotel can have such poor service. I've stayed in many places across Moldova over the years, and I've never experienced anything this bad in this...
Read moreCrama din Mircești in Moldova offers an unforgettable experience, blending exquisite tastes, breathtaking views, and nostalgic charm. Our visit was highlighted by the delightful rosé, a perfect balance of flavor and freshness, setting the tone for a memorable meal. The fish paired with mamaliga was a culinary masterpiece, combining tender, flavorful fish with the traditional cornmeal dish, creating a harmonious and satisfying meal.
Adding to the ambiance were the fresh peonies, whose fragrance filled the air and enhanced the overall sensory experience. The terrace views are nothing short of spectacular, reminiscent of childhood summers spent among sweet cherry trees and lush green forests. This setting, coupled with the exceptional food and wine, makes Crama din Mircești a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of Moldova's rich culinary and...
