The first thing to note about Asconi Winery is that it is not located next to the grape vines. They are 10 km away. For us, it didn’t feel like a vineyard experience and it was very commercial just focusing on wine tastings and meals for locals.||We booked one of the suites. The room was decent albeit some things were not exactly up to standard like no batteries in the room safe and for some reason they had converted the sofa into an extra bed so we had to put it back to a sofa again. There is no information about the hotel or check out times or breakfast times in the room.||If you dont speak Romanian or Russian then it is very difficult to communicate, even with Google translate. There are 1 or 2 staff who speak some English wandering around but no one on reception spoke English. This meant that asking for basic things like a taxi to the airport was quite painful.||Given we were not told anything about breakfast we were unable to have it on the morning we left since we now know it starts at 9 am and we had a taxi booked for 9.15. We booked the taxi with reception but of course we’re not informed it wouldn’t give us time for breakfast.||We wouldn’t recommend a stay here, especially if you speak English and no Romanian or Russian. For us it was just a commercial experience, the wines were distinctly average and it’s not a true vineyard stay. If you want a true vineyard stay then try Et Cetera Winery - it’s...

I had an unpleasant experience and I will definitely not return. The service was very bad and slow, the room I slept in was very dirty and dusty. there was no drinking water in the room and we asked some fine waiters and they refused to bring it to us because the kitchen was closed and we had to walk around the territory to ask other staff to serve us water. The next day at breakfast, we waited an hour and 30 minutes for the compote, which felt like it was starting to spoil, and the cheeeses, which you couldn't eat for because they were raw inside and burnt from the outside. At the pool, I was shocked that you have to carry the mattress from the deckchair alone, which is huge and is uncomfortable when you have a small child and a bag. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A THING. I also took a wine tasting and a trip where juice for children and breadcrumbs were included in the tasting list. Sure that all this was NOT and it was not pleasant to do a tasting of 5 wines, where we were in a hurry to taste these wines without any breadcrumbs or a snack. The trip lasted 10 minutes where everything was closed, nothing clear and without detailed information. This winery does not represent the Republic of Moldova!!!! A big thank you and a great pleasure was the lady from the winery shop who was so kind and told us so much about the wines that no svert told us during the trip and the tasting that girl ! I DO...

we had a very unpleasant experience totally unprofessional. We scheduled a tour and wine tasting event for 16.00 but because of distance from city and traffic we informed them we will be late like 25 minutes they said they can offer us tasting but for tour we need to wait 17.00 group. When we arrived the lady who is welcoming said that we need to wait other group and she will inform us. At 5 o clock I checked with her and she said she is trying to reach other group and will inform us and no need to worry ; after waiting 30 minutes more I was suspicious and found that girl and asked why is she not informed us, she said tour was cancelled because other group didn't show up!! I told her first you waited us 1 hour and not informed us, second you are saying you can't organized at least a wine tasting session so what is your suggestion? she said we can eat at restaurant only !!! but story didn't end up here because when we sat at restaurant we ask the waitress what is her suggestion for red wine and we told her the food we selected, answer was she has no idea because she is not working for wine tasting part ! In any part of world forget about winery when you ask a waiter or waitress they suggest you a pairing and here at winery the answer is I have no idea. Don't go over there there are better places at the country (Castle Mimi, Cricova,...

This a very interesting place, 30 minutes drive from edge of Chișinău. Over the years, I have visited the place with numerous occasions, including family events, work related activities (retreats, etc). The restaurant atmosphere is traditional, very cozy. There is a shop where you can buy discounted wines. I had also done the tour of the factory a few times. This could give you an insight into how wine is made. It gest busy during the weekend. It is probably best to reserve a table in advance. Last time, we just came in. I think I liked the place better when it was less popular. Of course, this is selfish on my side. Food is great. Portions are decent in size. We always got some food for home. Service is also great. Of course, once there, you need to taste the wine. I would not hesitate to take my friends there.

It is very close to Chisinau, 20 min car ride. On our trip we ate and had a wine tasting experience there and also we slept in one of the houses in the complex. The entire complex is nice looking, vintage type, with accommodations in separate houses built old style, with reed on the roof, well equipped inside, but you can see that there were not renovations made for a while (the soap recipient at the bathroom was broken, a smell of mold inside). The restaurant was good, cozy, we were a group which had some traditional entry food and after that some stake, very good, tasty, quality stuff. Also the wines were good, the best was Penumbra! A plus, at the restaurant there is a guy playing tradition song on the guitar which is very good
