Eiffel Bridge — Attraction in Ungheni

Bad experience with my trip to this bridge. I went there to see the area and the bridge and river proot which separete moldova and Romania. When I approached to the river I found one old man ( fisherman ) was near the river..I asked him about the area there so suddenly he took me to the border police telling them that I was ready to cross the border running out to Romania and he said that I'm Syrian.. after long conversation with the police man who was polite and calm he understood that we were there making a trip with my wife and kids Moldovan nationalities...and he said that it's restricted area here close to the border and u need to inform the police before coming here...Good that I was handling with me my passport and visa and ticket back to lebanon like a prove that I'm not coming to cross the river and runaway to Europe..so take care before reaching the restricted...

Great bridge if you need to get from Moldova to Romania without a passport. I lost mine in Transnistria and after asking nicely at Sculeni border to access Romania, I was taken away by border guards, tortured, beaten and water boarded for 5 days. After crawling my way to Eifel Bridge, a lovely local family took me in, cleaned my wounds and helped me to evade the border police. Would recommend highly and will definitely be...

It is truly an incredible feat of engineering. One of the best structures to visit in the country.
