Yolin Am Ice Field — Attraction in Ömnögovi

Les gorges de Yolin Am (qui doivent leur nom au vautour) sont nichées à 2 500 mètres d'altitude, dans le grand parc naturel du désert de Gobi, à moins de 100 km de la frontière chinoise. Il faut marcher environ une heure dans un paysage aride et féerique pour les atteindre et l'on croise en chemin des yaks, des marmottes en nombre, des oiseaux des chevaux sauvages et d'autres dressés... Quant aux amas de pierres, ornés de drapeaux et qui bordent le sentier, ce sont des « ovoo » destinés aux sacrifices d'animaux pour les esprits et divinités des montagnes.
