The Manzushir Monastery, built in 1733, is a Buddhist-style temple ruin located about 8 km north of Zuunmod town in Töv Province along a paved road. Unfortunately, the monastery was destroyed in 1937, and now only the ruins remain. In front of the site, there is a natural history museum. It’s a pleasant place to relax and explore, with a parking lot available. In years with heavy rainfall, streams flow down from the mountains. At the entrance, there are local handicraft shops where you can purchase handmade stirrups, Buddha statues, pendants, and other decorative items.

This historic monastery is easy to find with Google Maps, making it a perfect spot for a family hike, especially with young children. We visited on a windy autumn day, so it was a bit chilly, but I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer. The informative posts on-site shed light on the monastery's fascinating history, adding depth to the experience. And if you're looking for a little souvenir to remember your visit, there's a small shop at the parking lot with a variety of trinkets. Highly recommended for a peaceful and educational outing!

Old temple with very beautiful nature. Its quite convenient to go to there from the city, also not many people go and see it, so its not crowded. Anyone who wants to see some historical scene and enjoy beautiful nature, it will be good trip to there. There were some cheap entrance fee, price around 1000mnt only...
