Monts have a genuin talent for spoiling anything good - and they used to have quite some of natural beauty. I spent almost 10 summers here, and this one start feeling like absolutely the worse one: the hotel that was sold to Arabs, they demolished a few years ago. I understand that, nevertheless it was pretty functional, modern guest expect much more. The problem is that Monts sold something that was not fully clean (regarding ownership status), which drove Arabs away, and ruins remained... this did not stop some people from charging 3e for parking (dusty holes between poor olive trees, where noone cares will you park over some forgotten corps, or got hit with a lunatic who hurries to taverna, and so on... Who is the one actually collecting this money - beats me! the other year, they removed a nice, "tropical" bar. The only remaining place is a restaurant with cheap, but not so good food. Still a good place to catch a shade and a byte. Public toilet is a great copy of some of the best underground horror scenes. The big difference is that here you can actually catche some deases (even step into a few, each step you take there - and 10m around). They now have even less (read: none) free beach space (and their law guarantees 30% of any public beach to be free to put your arse at). Sea water is worse than I ever remember. Muddy as a slow river, rich with dead sea weat and etc.
Sorry, but I really miss Greece and the way they treat guests, each other, and...
Read moreThis is a peaceful, family-friendly beach with a clean sandy shore and crystal-clear sea. The water is very shallow — even after swimming 15–20 meters out, it still remains shallow, making it especially safe for children. If you’re staying near Tivat, I definitely recommend visiting. However, if you’re based in Budva, due to ongoing roadworks the trip can take up to two hours in the morning or on weekends — in that case, I wouldn’t suggest it.
The beach is divided into paid and free sections. Parking costs €5, but the spots closest to the beach are limited — the earlier you arrive, the easier it is to find a good one. Sunbed prices range from €15 to €25 depending on how close you are to the water. Nearby, there’s a kiosk serving drinks and ice cream, as well as another one offering drinks, pizza, hamburgers, and crepes. It can get quite crowded, so expect to wait in line for burgers and pizzas. There’s also a buffet-style self-service restaurant where you don’t need to queue, and the food is tasty. Still, I’d recommend bringing along some snacks of your own.
There is tree-covered pathway through the tips of the beach where there interesting rock formation and wide-angle view of the beach.
With its soft sand, shallow safe waters, and relaxing atmosphere, this beach is a great place to unwind and...
Read moreWe went to that beach by car from Kotor on the first day of our vacation and it stayed our most preferred till the end. We went also to most of the famous beaches around Budva and Kotor, but nothing came close to Plavi Horizonti. It js amazing beach, shallow waters, crystal clear. Very soft sand beach. There is option for parking at the beach or 50 meters up the road. The further parking was 2e for whole day. But it eas a bit pointless as you can just park by the road side for free. The beach was not crowded at all even in August. There are w free zo es, quite large ones, overall maybe around 50% of the beach. The paid amenities are 20e for full complect and are very comfortable. The view is amazing and there are paved tracking paths at the 1 ends of the beach, from where you can take nice photos from higher point. On the bad side, both paths, at their closest to the beach parts, are used for toilets and they do smell of that. There are options for food and drinks. Overall the atmosphere eine surrounded by pine trees is quite amazing and relaxing and I would recommend the beach very highly. It is also perfect for kids due to the calm waters. For me, it is the best beach in all Montenegro is you prefer chill and cozy experience, but still with amenities and...
