Valdanos - a place established as a resort for officers and soldiers of the Yugoslav people’s army during the communist era. The beach itself is easily accessible by car although there are some holes on the road. Just continue your ride and at the very end there’s a big parking in the shades of pine trees next to the beach that is totally free. Accessibility 4 The toilets are free, but disgusting. It looks as if no one cleans them. Concrete is crumbling everywhere with rusty and pointy wires coming out of it. Very unsafe, watch your step. Broken and overpriced sunbeds for 30e. Luckily there are cabins for changing clothes, showers, a restaurant and trash bins. Lots of sea urchins and sea weed everywhere. Huge pebbles hard to walk or lie down. Services 2 Not many tourists. Plenty of space to choose where to sit and relax. The whole experience is that this beach is wild and untamed. Located under hills covered with olive trees. The water is extremly clean since there are no boats, engines, sewers, bars nor restaurants....
Read moreThis beach is a totally different kind than the usual beaches in the Ulcinj region. This beach is a pebble beach with lots of natural shade forming from the pine trees that are all over the beach. From the center of Ulcinj is a short drive through beautiful and olive grooves, with some olives spanning 500 years and older. At the beach there is free parking on a field surrounded by trees and the beach is just few steps away. On the beach there is a free section, and a section where you can pay for sunbeds and parasols. There is also a bar and restaurant there too. The only small downside is that there can be patches of dirty sea on some parts of the beach, but the dirt is just coming from the pines and seaweed. The beach is very quiet, there is no loud music, only waves crashing on the shore. All in all is such a beautiful natural beach, a 180 from the other beaches in...
Read moreIs a beautiful beach, used to be an army base once. It’s a small pebble beach, overall clean, the water is nice, all around with mountains so the heat won’t be that much of an issue. The restaurant there makes amazing pizza, you can take a boat for a sail around the cost. Is amazing for exploration as much as it is for swimming. The trip from the city center to Valdanos is approximately 10 mins. by car, with a panoramic view of olive trees on both sides. Enough parking space. The prices are acceptable (10€ for 2 beach beds), but there is also space for your own umbrella if you like that. Also be aware of sea urchins. There is no market there so make sure to take water with you, and also there is no wifi. A suggestion- take...
