We just stayed in an eco lodge for our eldest daughter’s 12th birthday||We initially found the process of confirming and communicating with the hotel very difficult. For information, the hotel itself is called La Domaine D’Amanar; however it took a lot of searching online to establish this was the same place as Terres D’Amanar where you stay and where the outdoor activities are. We made our booking via Hotels.com which I would not recommend and will not be using again as the customer service was appalling. For one night it cost £119 but this included use of the playground (highly recommended by others here) and the pool which we were mildly hopeful about as the weather looked good.||The phone number Hotels.com had for the hotel which was also shown on the Terres D’Amanar website didn’t work for 2 days despite us trying several times and various people from Hotels.com (the hotel confirmed it wasn’t working this morning but didn’t seem too bothered!). We had seen a notice on the Terres D’Amanar website that the adventure playground was under renovation but Hotels.com could not confirm this and said they would know if there was anything amiss, but the hotel had not informed them of this. In the end with our booking confirmed and paid for we had no choice but to go and find out for ourselves. ||We had been staying in Marrakech and it proved much cheaper to hire a car for 2 days (600 MAD) then get a round trip taxi (the cheapest we were offered was £74 and D’Amanar offer 900 MAD. ||The trip is not long from Marrakech and very scenic once in the mountains but the last 5km are a very stony uphill road which was a bit nerve racking in a rented small car! When we arrived we found the playground was indeed closed for renovation which was disappointing. We had an ok but expensive lunch at the cafe onsite which has incredible views of the mountain. Our girls tried the pool but even with the sun out in February this was a bit too hopeful and they managed only 2 minutes in there! Without the playground there was little for them to do as we arrived too late for activities. So we hung out at our eco lodge which was rustic but rather cold (heating came on at 5 but it never got cosy and we ended up layering heavy blankets on the bed for the night).||We had little choice but to eat the buffet dinner provided onsite (unless we had driven back 5km down the alarming road in the night)- this was tasty but extraordinarily expensive for Morocco at over £70 for the 4 of us (without alcohol). We did enjoy playing scrabble by the open fire in the courtyard after dinner. ||This morning the girls did enjoy the Accro|Park (similar to Go Ape for UK readers!) but this does cost approx £12 per go round. I did talk to the hotel about the issues around communication, lack of facilities that we could use included in the price and the expensive dinner and they did offer us 1 paid for trip for our older girl on the accropark. The girls did love this activity and we ended up paying for them to go round again. ||There is no doubt Terres D’Amanar is a stunning location and we did enjoy the views, the sounds and atmosphere (at night we could hear the sound of several|Mosques calling to prayer across the valley and a beautiful moon above the mountains. However overall our feeling is that we would definitely come back again to visit and do the activities but that we wouldn’t stay there - at 50min from Marrakech it’s an easy day trip and would be a lot less expensive. And if you do go to stay, do check the Terres D’Amanar Website and don’t book via Hotels.com! ||Hope...

A very wonderful place to have fun with all family !!!

The following is the "About us" section from the website: TERRES D'AMANAR is an estate located at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, only 30 minutes away from Marrakesh (take the road to Asni for 37km or 23 miles), and abuts on the pristine 100,000ha (247,000 acres) of forests of the Toubkal National Park. The Terres d'Amanar estate perfectly epitomizes ecotourism in Morocco. Terres d'Amanar is suitable for families, friends, couples or colleagues. This is your natural boost through funny, sports, natural and cultural as well as crafty and traditional activities of this Berber area. Terres d’Amanar also provides accommodation and food services. Amenities are comfy yet environment-friendly. Food is prepared by Berber women from neighbouring Douars.

At the heart of sustainable development

The TERRES d’AMANAR Project has been designed by and in partnership with the locals:

The TERRES d’AMANAR staff are mainly locals, especially dwellers from the surrounding villages. Thanks to the project, 150 families are living in the vicinity, which means that they haven’t left. We lay much emphasis on partnerships with local cooperatives (vegetables, craft products and building raw materials), and we strongly encourage participative management as a way for employees to develop and keep on passing on their expertise to the next, as well as exchange savoir-faire on an...

It was such a great experience. I paid 210 dh for 1 hour, for the « parcours aérien » the staff members were more than nice and welcoming, and the activities were challenging specially for people who are afraid of heights. You can also bring your phone with you to take pictures and videos or you can ask the staff to take them for you along the way and they will bring it later with them. There’s plenty of places where you can sit and relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and you don’t have to pay unless you’re doing the activities. They sell water and ice cream with reasonable prices. Highly recommend it.

We only came for the park so I don't have an option about the rooms and we brought food so I don't know how the restaurant is. The road from Marrakech is ok except for the last 1-2km where the is a dirt road a bit difficult to drive. On my opinion the only thing that really worth doing is the aerial park - 4 big tyrolienne and 2 air bridges. It's 20€per person, a bit expensive but the sensations are impressive. The rest of the activities are expensive and not wow. The landscape is beautiful, you can take beautiful pictures
