Hey, everybody. We took a personal guide Yosif he met us from the hotel and took us first to the Argan farm or factory. There is a small beautiful garden, with different plants, cactus and you can buy goods from high quality argan oil and then go to Paradise Valley. We left the car and walked along the yellow brick path like in the fairy tale Wizard of Oz. It was a moderately rough trail. I am not a hiker, but I passed all the tests, I had to overcome various obstacles to get through the streams on the rocks, walk along the narrow path, I was helped as I was afraid to fall into the water. I fell, got my feet wet, but it was okay))) we went down the rocky descent, the children easily coped, my husband too, but I was scared to go down. But with the help of my companions, I overcame the descent. We went down to the pool. The kids didn't jump as it's hard enough to climb, they played in the small pool, and I sat and looked at the incredible beauty. Very beautiful landscape. We were there for about 2 hours. On the way back we ate the famous tagine in a cafe. The cafe is the first if you go back near palm trees and a small lake. The tagine was very tasty and Marrkan fresh salad. We sat there for 2 hours and went back. Going up was a bit more difficult than going down, but we managed, and we are proud of ourselves and grateful to our guide he played with the kids and helped with the obstacles. Our guide's cafe, so we were doubly lucky....
Read moreVisited Agadir for the first time, booked a trip to Paradise Valley as it looked great in the pictures. There was alot of walking up mountains involved before we actually got to the spot. This was extremely tiring as it was uphill and loads of steps; if you plan on visiting take water and decent footwear. There were little cafes and shops in between the whole trek up the mountain so they were useful. We finally got to paradise valley after about 25 mins of walking. The views were lovely, people were swimming and relaxing. The weather was extremely hot so I sat under a mountain to catch some shade. While I was taking pictures, my cousin decided to dip his feet in; somehow he ended up slipping into the lake and was almost drowning. He couldn't swim so that wasn't great, all the tourists who were in the lake rushed to help him and a lifeguard with a stick managed to get him out 😅. I'm not sure how deep the water is but the rocks underneath are apparently very slippery and move when you step on them. Overall, it was pretty decent, I wouldn't come here again as the walk was far too much for me especially with temperatures of...
Read moreFirst thing first. THIS PLACE IS NOT CHILD NOR ELDERLY FRIENDLY. okay, now that this is clear, it is still possible but rough. One other thing, NO WC!! So cool it with the drinks. We booked our full day trip though the hotel we stayed at, but One thing I wasn’t fond of, is that they tried to take advantage of us like in any other place and wanted 700 dirhams for a “guided” day trip to paradise valley, I just figured it was to much and said that I saw it on the internet for 400 dirhams for two persons. Than she asked again on the phone and said they could get us there for 500 dirhams including “lunch” and a “guide” there was no lunch nor drinks, the guide could barely a few words of English he just took us the same route everyone else was going. The driver did try to stop at a place where they sell some stuff and than again a place where we could take pictures. But the 500 was worth it even though other did get the same tour for 450 dirhams. And it was not a full day more a half day. It was fine as there were not much to do, I would just have appreciated the honesty. But man the view was worth it! So relaxing. I can...
