Visited Monday April 3,2023, 2 adults with 8yro twin. If you drive from chefchaouen, it is a extremely beautiful 45mins scenic drive. Then you will reach the taxi area first then the parking lot for tourist, we were charged 15 MAD for the parking. The sign is not really clear at the sight that which way to God's bridge or to waterfall... we were planing to visit waterfall first then God's bridge, but we ended up visited only God's bridge via the upper/mountain trail (there is also another trail along the river to reach God's bridge, which is around 40mins). The mountain trail is a real breath taking scenic walking. It is not difficult but certain parts of the trail has extremely narrow path that would need extra carefulness, as well as the loose gravels along the path made it extremely slippery. Other than that, it is a very pleasant walk for our family. However, our trail ends on the top of the God's bridge, signs were set up that do not allow further walking so we had to take the same way back. We had a nice veggie tajine by the river on our way back, 50MAD veggie tajine after bargin. We entered the site at 11.57, and came out at 15.47 which left us no time and energy to visit the waterfall on...

We hiked to the upper falls in February 2024. The trail was of moderate difficulty and was 14km round trip. Unfortunately there was no water flowing over the falls but the hike was still worth it - the forest and surrounding mountains are beautiful. We also were fortunate to see several Barbary Macaque monkeys playing on the rocks high above us. We caught a Grand Taxi from the bus station in Chefchaouen. We shared the taxi with 4 other people and the cost was 25 MAD each. When we returned from Ackour, there were only 3 other passengers so we paid 30 MAD each. The taxi drivers did the organizing of getting the total number of passengers in the taxi....so the transport was simple. If you have time during your stay in Chefchaouen, id highly recommend the...

The way along the river is nice and can be made easily. There's a restaurant at the end of the road. Don't hesitate to rent some bathing shoes and take a walk through the canyon. Those who will walk the way until the end will find a pool for swimming. Don't mind about the cold water.

If you take the track to the God's bridge, you definitely should have the right shoes for it. It's quite challenging 😉. Take the same way back or choose a track which leads you first uphill but than it brings you close to the pool. You shouldn't be afraid of climbing and secure yourself with a rope. I haven't done it. But I saw a local climbing downhill easily. At least it looked like it...

What to do in the “Blue City”⬇️ (Save for later) Chefchaouen, often referred to as the “Blue City,” is a picturesque town in northern Morocco known for its distinctive blue-painted buildings and stunning mountain landscapes. -Wander around the blue streets. You can wander for hours through these blue alleyways. It was my favorite Medina in all of Morocco. The entire town is “Instagrammable” -Watch the sunset from Bouzafer Mosque on the hill. -Take a day trip to Akchour. Here you can hike to the God’s Bridge and/or multiple stunning waterfalls. It’s a 45 minute taxi ride. -I stayed at Dar Dadicilef Hostel and loved it. It’s very quiet, with a stunning garden, delicious free breakfast every morning, and the sweetest owner. His English isn’t great, but if you speak a little Arabic, French, or Spanish you’ll hit it off beautifully. -My favorite restaurants were Casa Aladin, Cafe Clock, Mandala, & Restaurant El Wiam. Getting here from Tangier and/or Fez is very simple using the bus system. I recommend you use CTM or Supratours. You can purchase tickets online, but I purchased them at the ticket window about 15 minutes before departure. 🇬🇧 Everything you need to know for the hike to God‘s bridge in Morocco: Save and share this reel with your hiking buddy 🫶 👉 Main facts: Start/end: 6RQ9+FGQ Akchour, Morocco Difficulty: Moderate Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours (back and forth) 👉 How to get there: 🚘 It is a 45-minute drive to get to the starting point. The code for google maps will guide you to a large car park, which costs 15 Dirham (1.4 €) per day 🚕 Alternatively you can take a taxi from Chefchaouen. It will cost 20-30 Dirham (2-3 €) for one way. If you want the taxi to wait for you, negotiate payment in advance. 🥾 Details: 👉 This hike is no loop hike, so you’ll walk the same way back and forth 👉 Locals will approach you once you parked your car and offer their service as a guide. You don‘t need a guide to get to God’s bridge but if you decide to go with one of them, make sure you discuss payment in advance 👉 From the parking lot you walk along the river for the entire time, the trail crosses frequently through rivers and you have to scramble on slippery rocks 👉 The God’s Bridge is located at the very end of the hiking trail. It‘s a 100m high natural bridge. 👉 There are many possibilities to swim in the river but be prepared for ice cold water 😁 👉 You will find a lot of small cafes to drink an orange juice, mint tea and to eat a tajine. ❗️ If you want to extend your hike you can also hike to some waterfalls 👚 Btw, the shirts we‘re wearing are from @hey.komm They‘re super lightweight, comfortable and fast drying (which we definitely needed after that hike 😅) 🇩🇪 German translation is in the comments ⬇️ . . . . . #chefchaouen #hikingadventures #moroccotravel Song: Soul Step Artist: Lance Taber Source: Facebook Sound Collection 21/04/2023
