Agafay Desert — Attraction in Marrakesh Prefecture

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a quad excursion in Agafay desert, and it was an absolutely incredible adventure. From start to finish, the entire experience was top-notch, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting and unique way to explore the beauty of Agafay desert in Marrakech.

The staff were friendly and professional, especially the owner Marwane and his brother made sure that we had everything we needed before we set off on our quads. They gave us clear instructions on how to operate the quads and what to expect on the trail, which helped to put us at ease and allowed us to focus on the fun ahead.

Once we hit the trail, it was clear that we were in for a thrilling ride. The scenery was stunning, with sweeping vistas of the desert landscape that took our breath away. We raced over the rocky dunes and up and down hills, feeling the rush of wind in our faces as we navigated the terrain.

One of the things that impressed me most about this excursion was the level of safety that was maintained throughout the entire experience. Our guides were always nearby and attentive, making sure that we stayed on track and didn't take any unnecessary risks , without forgetting the amazing tea break in the middle of the desert which was unforgettable .

We visited the Agafay Desert for camel rides, quad biking, and dinner with entertainment. The activities themselves were fun but felt a bit too short, especially given the travel to get there.

The dinner shows were a mixed bag. The band playing Berber music was repetitive, overly loud, and not particularly engaging. They also had a habit of trapping you in for tips, which made the experience feel a little awkward. On the other hand, the fire show was better and enjoyable, though nothing extraordinary.

The food was decent, but unfortunately, my partner ended up with norovirus. It’s unclear whether it was from the food or contact with something during the tour, but it did put a damper on the experience.

Overall, it’s a nice spot for a quick desert adventure and for the price it’s probably still...

This experience was the highlight of my Marrakesh trip!!! I did the joint camel ride and quad biking in Agafy desert. The desert was beautiful, the camels were cute and the host was excellent. Marwan, who lead the trip, was so hospitable, kind, safe and fun!

As a female solo traveller, this is the one part of the trip I felt completely at ease and in the care of someone genuinely nice/safe.
