If you wanna reserve online with this company, read this.
This tour is the right choise for you, if you: want to pay 145€/person instead of 65-80€ which was paid by everyone who booked in person -booked english tour, you are transfered for spanish one without explainion (well, there was an explanation that we dont have a guide, the guide is not included and we only have an assisantanxe to a driver so we dont need to understand anything -wanna sleep in a hotel (1st night) where sheets we not clean and it was evident someone slept there before us be separated from your gropu you spent 2 days together and be sent to another camp without warning -feel like a nunber or walking wallet skip all of the itinerary of the last day and just be transfered directly to Fes without sightseeing or guide explanation
The experience with camels was amazing, but this review regards the services of the tour. Take care!
ANSWER TO THE COMMENTARY: 1- I totally understand that it is a shared tour. I didnt’t want to either stop or take pictures at points which would not be included in the itinerary. This applies to 3rd day of itinerary - monkeys and palm forest, these are specifically in your itinerary at websize and we skipped it all.
2 - Yes and no. There were people who paid 80€ in our tour (marrakech-desert-marrakech), but there were also people who paid 60-80€ for the 3 days tour from Marrakech to Fes. We defenitely felt scammed. So, even counting 80€ as a price for the tour Marrakech-desert-Marrakech; it’s impossible that shared public the transport in small car (in 6 ppl) would cost 65€ per person (145-80€).
3 - Maybe consider mentioning that this is specifically unguided tour. There were many people dissappointed we met by the lack of information (e.g. stopping without any info about the site in front of the site). Just basics would be enough…
4- This regards your and the “assistant’s” communication. At the night before, we asked our guide - sorry, “assistant”- if we will be seperated at the desert camp, our guide said no. So we bought beers for the group etc. On the next day, he knew that we will be separated from the morning and decided to no say anything until last moment, until he said - you two go down here not willing to understand or communicate. It’s about being informed at time and treated as people, not...
Read moreWe booked the tour online and if you are considering this experience, here are our experiences:
we booked an English-speaking guide, but we were assigned to a Spanish group without apology, so tourists had to help us with translation
the online tour cost us 145€ per person, but others paid 70-80€ because they paid physically
it turned out that the guide was just an "assistant driver" and mostly didn't tell us anything, the car just stopped without instructions so we could take a picture in front of an unfamiliar castle, hill or river
the official itinerary on their website was not followed, on the way from Merzouga to Fes we didn't stop and see anything, we just stopped for a terrible meal with the fact that when we wanted to choose our own restaurant we weren't allowed to do so
most of the time was spent at pointless souvenir stops, only a moment on the beautiful ones
there were no clean linens at the hotel
we felt like we were just being messed with and not given the information we needed (the only way we were dropped off in the desert and had to wait for our next transport, but we were separated from the rest of the group we were spending 2 days with and thus couldn't enjoy our time together with the Berbers)
Would...
Read moreWe recently took a Morocco trip with GoMarakech desert trip and our experience was just amazing. Starting from deciding to make the trip till the end of the trip, Abdou was on top of everything. He designed such a great itinerary which included all the must see sights and places to visit in the 9 days that we had for our trip. He hand picked the most beautiful Riads At Chefchaouen, Fez, Dades Gorges and Marrakech. It was a new country for us but with Abdou, it felt like traveling with a family member. He made sure all our needs were taken care of especially our dietary restrictions with vegetarian food. The ride was very spacious and comfortable and even with long road trips between cities, it didn’t feel tiring. The camel rides in Sahara and spending the night at desert camp with Berber entertainment was the highlight of the trip. He took us to the places for the best shopping experience and made sure we got the top notch quality stuff for the right prices. Every single moment well spent in this beautiful country was made possible by Abdou. Our total experience from start to finish was just amazing and I would highly recommend this company and Abdou for anyone who is looking for a great...
