Wow wow wow! We had a magical stay at the reserve! We were even blessed to see Elephants and Giraffe as we drove into the park. We saw jackal, zebra, warthog, wildebeest, many types of buck and various types of birds!

We camped 3 blissful nights at Xinguti camp alongside the lake. It has the most serene bush feeling and at night you can hear the hippos chatting to one another. The hot showers are awesome and are also set into the trees which is extremely relaxing. The kitchen is a pleasure to use too!

We also camped at Membene for 5 Nights which has the same awesome shower and kitchen facilities.

Unfortunately we had rain here but the bathroom facilities were a great help to see the day out!

We enjoyed exploring/ swimming at the beach and Running to Ponta Millibangala (about 4km).

Staff were very friendly and helpful but not always able to explain things in English. We will...

It is one the easiest safari park to visit from Maputo, and a good one for beginners like us. Do not purchase the safari package from Maputo advertised in the website, it is super expensive and nothing special (at least in this park for a short visit). If you have a car, just use your own, but it must be a 4×4. It take just one hour from Maputo, but be warned, once you enter the park the drive is 5 miles/hr at best, and extreme bumps. The restaurant/hotel resort is nice to go to have a meal or coffee, where you can enjoy a nice view, but expect a long drive. Plentty of wild animals, likely to meet girafes. Overall, if you are on a business trip and have a day off, it is an acceptable trip to get a flavor. If this is a vacation destination, have more time, and a more complete nature experience, maybe the larger parks, like in SA, is a...

It was excellent. If you are short on time but wish to experience a safari, this location is a worthwhile option. It's only an hour from Maputo, and the tour allows approximately three to four hours of wildlife viewing. We saw elephant families, giraffes, buffalo, and impala herds. My children were thrilled, and my husband and I were equally delighted.

A 4×4 vehicle is needed. The main road is relatively good, allowing access for smaller SUVs to a certain point. However, exploring more remote areas, such as hippo habitats, may require a 4×4 vehicle.

For a quick day trip, I wholeheartedly...
