Amazing waters n lovely pleasant native malawians...Good hotels along the beach no need for advance bookings...Blantyre good bz center of Malawi....better planned compared to Lilongwe ( capital) . Zomba is a cute lil city n sports a great hotel at the plateau...better to hv buffet then ordering a la carte...no taxis as expensive...no cars too for hire...petrol expensive...borrowing a friend's car best alternative....indian licence accepted here..only one irritant...too many check post waste of time. Good food available in shopright area Blantyre. Visiting the animal sanctuary bit expensive but worth it...carry a set of binoculars. Booze outlets available n fairly cheap..hv a great time..visa too on arrival but pretty expensive...

This should be on everyone’s bucket list. The blue lake, with over 500 endemic Mbuna (cichlids) species is a must-see. And of course one must eat fresh chambo, the native bream fish when there. The lake’s beauty is surreal and unparalleled (trust me, I have been to Lake Kariba and Tanganyika) even though it was low water season when I went. A boat ride is a also a must (or for those who do-scuba diving) to experience the clear waters and amazing fish. It’s always extremely hot so winter time would be the best season for those who can’t withstand extreme heat

Lake Malawi????? It's a Must Visit for tourists, family vacations and nature observation lovers. I am not sharing this because it is my home of origin but because it's the Truth. Lake Malawi holds the Clearest and the Deepest fresh water Lake in the whole world. With plenty Beautiful varieties of fish in eye catching colours that again you won't find anywhere else in this universe. Lake Malawi is just a woooow. Go and you shall Thank me for sharing my hidden gem. Enjoy Malawi, The Warm Heart of Africa ♥️

It's big, full of fish, and people too. Apparently you can get bilharzia, but I quit drinking lake water ages ago. (Easily treatable $4, way less than the stupid $10pp park fee. Should be $4 bucks too. It is a world heritage site, but c'mon.) Lots of locals washing and cleaning at the edge, tourists, and dogs. It's a true slice of life if you're open enough to see what's going on. Beautiful morning noon and night. Power is out about 3/4 of the time, but it actually helps you remember your humanity.
